Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Sara, I notice a lot of questions from people about which light to use, and the TopLED website gives a general coverage number for each light, but it doesn't say at what height to hang each light above the plants. And as the lights get further from the plants, the coverage of the light increases, but the intensity decreases.

Is this information that will be added in the future to further help people choose the correct light, and use it properly?

Like for example, the specs would say: Coverage :4'x4' Standard @ 24 inches above canopy / @ 61 cm above canopy

with no disrespect towards the light manufacture, when i seen those hangers for my mars 2 1600 (weighs 32 lbs?) i instantly decided to go a different route. i got 4 (Carabiner, Steel screw lock) and hooked them up to the attachment on the mars 2, then i hooked my yo yo hangers to the steel carabiner. its not that i didnt believe in they would work, its just in my mind it didnt seem right and i like to sleep as well as i can. other then that, great light just finishing up on my first grow with a real led. (you should see my old model :rofl:)

i can do that no problem, i will take the pictures when i get home tonight (lights come on at 9pm [PST]) so ill try and upload the pictures by 10pm.

yup just went through all my pics on phone and i dont have one of the top of my mars. a couple, kind of show it but ill get a clear pic for you tonight.

What spectrum for the mars II would be the best to buy alot of people are saying have it custom with more white leds is this correct or is the standard spectrum fine? Please let me no anyone with info or anyone that has used the mars II as im looking to purchase asap thanks in advance
 
We do business with shipping company, stock our lights at there warehouse, when we have order, they can ship for us, so you need to order on our website, then we will ask shipping company to arrange shipment from Spain warehouse to you :)

We have build some white in the light, so it is unnecessary to add more white. our standard light is full spectrum, main color is read, then blue and white. other growers will also give you recommendation. most of them are using our standard spectrum.

Good news, we can ship from Spain warehouse now, they just arrived last night:):circle-of-love: it is the first time we ship to there, not too many lights, anyone want? please message me :)
 
OK I'll put my hat in the ring for beta testing the new lights. I'm about to germinate a new set of seeds that I could do a journal with. But if it came to a choice between a christmas present and a beta tester I would have to take the present. With the beta tester I might then want to convert to the new light and I already have a good investment in Mars ll's. Of course I wouldn't be fool enough to refuse both, LOL. But since I have already told Sara to give the presents to newbie growers who have less than I. I'll just have to hope I have some chance as a beta tester. I am very, very happy with my Mars ll 400W lamps and am grateful that I found this company and this site. I'll continue to post pic's as a newbie grower to show the learning curve. Thank you all. Dan.
