This light is keeping up to my 400w MH no problem Sara, im very impressed so far, I never thought I could veg a 4 x 4 area with only 200 watts but so far this COB panel is suprising the hell out of me
4 plants under the 400w metal halide with a brand new bulb.
4 plants under TopLed's 200w COB panel.
With the cob turned off. Somebody mentioned that blue and red only panels will give the leaves a dark waxy look but they look pretty much identical to the girls under the 400 to me.
So far so good Sara
This is looking good. Can't wait to see the prices and specs on these test lights.
I want one .
Greetings and salutations,
I've just spent my entire day reading all 32 pages of this thread, some of BID's and Jon705's journal pages regarding the LED testing. I apologize in advance if I ramble but after reading all day I'm starting to look like Crazy Eyes from Mr. Deeds.
I am interested in LED lighting and stumbled upon this thread after a few weeks of research and I really appreciate the information given by everyone in this thread. I joined the community to personally thank everyone for their time and effort given and also would like to start a journal of my own when I (eventually) construct my grow areas.
As a chef, I like to master a recipe and source my ingredients and suppliers and I'm almost certain this lighting is what I'm looking for. I am impressed with the effort Sara has put into this thread with everyone's questions and suggestions. I'm interested in LED because of my living quarters with minimal construction to setup. I can do whatever I want to my apartment but I would need to fix or replace anything upon moving out. I'm a good tenant and would like to keep it that way by being stealth. My apartment building is quiet, neighbours keep to themselves and I'm in the best apartment of the building with dirt cheap rent to go through with my vision.
In the coming days I will start a thread of my setup and would appreciate any feedback, suggestions and constructive criticism by the community. Consider me a zombie and I'm coming for your brains!
Facts or opinions on LED and the types of growing mediums is the next part of my research. I would like to hear from Sara's point of view from the manufacturer as well as everyone else currently using LEDs and their success/failures. I have also subscribed to BID and Jon705 so I can follow their test grows. Any other members to recommend please message me.
Anyways, nice to join the 420 community and look forward to growing positive!
Regards
Blade I am currently on my second grow and I am using Solar Storm 400's to grow with. They are manufactured by an American company named California Light Works. I have had some success with them you can read my completed journal and I have started a new journal the plants are now 24 days old and growing much better than my first attempt. I don't think you will be able to beat the price of Top Leds lights. Leds will grow plants but as with all things some are better than others. On a side note it's not the car but the driver that wins the race.Welcome to 420magazine.com, cant wait to see your new soon to be
