Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Already loving my new light. Took some work to fit both my ts1000 and tsl2000 plus fans but managed it lol.

Temperature is more manageable already staying below 26.5 Celsius where as before with HPS had to keep door open to try stay below 30 so very happy already :)

Fingers and legs and everything in between crossed I can get my hands on the competition tent then can really get going for next run of grandmommy purple.

I'd really love to get my hands on one of those SP lights the 3000 is amazing and the 6500 is a monster. I can't even imagine the quality and quantity of crop I could do with either of those in my setup :) I'd give my left arm for one if I didn't need 2 arms to put them up! Heheh

Think I'm fast becoming a Mars fan boy haha

MH customer service is a pain. Now they offering me the driver replacement. But being computer repair man I pretty well understand so that it could have been wiring or LED diod itself giving short issue. Why things are so complicated, why cant I just send it back (for my own cost btw) and pay more and get other than this model?
Which website did you purchase it from? If you are not satisfied with this solution, you can give feedback to the after-sales service.

If you receive a driver and it still doesn't work, contact customer service to return the light. We usually let our engineers have a look at the light before giving a solution to the problem. Don't worry too much! :thumb:

Thats the point, I dont want this long story, it would be much faster to return the unit, add some more cash and got different model, I'm not asking any refund for return postage which is not 5 cent by the way, just retirn the unit add more money for other model, sorry Mars Hydro but I value my time, dont wanna play games. Unit brand new out of the box never used tested for 24 hrs only as showing the fault

Can I ask how long ago did you buy the light. Also how long between purchase and spotting the fault until you reported the fault?

If a defect develops after the first six months, the burden is on you to prove that the product was faulty at the time the goods were delivered to you.

It's not for you to prove that the faulty item was not of satisfactory quality in order to get it repaired or replaced during the first six months after purchase.

First I'm not in the UK, secondly I've reported MH Europe within first 2 days when item was out of the box cos fault appeared in the first run less then 24 hrs being out of the box. If MH denies accept return, I'll contact Paypal for dispute and this would be my first and last experience with MH EU and relevant review to trustpilot.
 
Well tbh you want the product replacing/repairing but you can't dictate how this is done. Weather replacement or repair its up to the manufacturer. However unless its different on Ireland you shouldn't have to pay to return any items. It was done in first 60 days anyway so Mars will cover the return costs. Other than that you have to wait. If the item is broken and you just want a refund then that's also your right. What you don't ha e the right to do is dictate how when and where the repairs/replacement will be done.

Trust me I understand it may take a week or 2 to sort and plants need light. So if you can't wait that long your only other option is to get a refund.

Mars tend to be really helpful and the person who helped me in the forums was great. But I also understand time is off the essence. Ideally though it's best not to resort to "I'll leave a bad review" threat. Its assumed that someone who receives bad service will tell 5 people about it. The threat is kinda redundant and just makes the situation bad.

I wrote to the CS more than a week ago, I do not dictate them anything. I simply kindly ask to accept the return, crediting me for other, even dearer, model at their website. I didn't ask them for reimbursment of return postal fee, as well as I dont need the driver only replacement cos in case its not drivers fault Id have to return both unit and the driver which is hell heavy for my own cost? Id presume MH dont have returns warehouse in the EU, as well as EU customer service, even my paypal payment done to China not Germany. Therefore, I really doubt they would honor any EU customer rights law.
 
I think your problem is your trying to upgrade , And most companies are going to want the light back to test before sending anything out.Also i assume the web site has no system for part payment so would need to refund you it all and hope you buy another light.I feel your pain @jecka but looking at it from the companies point of view anyone can claim a lights broken get another sent out heh i got two lights.Or dam should of bought the better one im sending it back etc.Thats not me saying thats you its just how companies are going to look at things like this.Me at this point would send the light back for them to test if its faulty get your refund and move on nasty to have to deal with but you wont get the help you should making threats.
