It's not a holiday, just a day of celebration like Halloween. St, Patrick's Day is celebrated wherever there is an Irish community, usually with green dyed beer and some foods. In normal times many of the folks would like Mar 18 to be holiday so they could recover from their hangovers.

I had some green baloney once.

The Feast of St. Patrick has become much like Christmas - a way for businesses to make money and an excuse for people to party. Sad, really, and a lot of Irish aren't happy about it. But they don't have much of an air force, lol, so the situation probably won't be changing.

I really like this kind of festival, so there may be holidays, or there is a good reason to buy gifts and eat out:laugh:

This picture was taken a little bit back. She made it to the finish line without any problems. She was a pain in the butt though to get there.
 
Durban Poison in flower. had to bend her down because she was getting just too big and too heavy.
