Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I have the TS-3000 in my 3x3 tent which gives me 50 watts per square foot. I know the footprint is for a 4x4 but the 3000 has a 450w pull. If i move it to a 4x4, it falls below 30 watts per square foot. Will that still be enough to flower a 4x4 properly or am I better off leaving it in my 3x3 ?

Thanks for posting this. I wanted to move it into a 4x4 but didnt want to lose that 20 per sq ft. I wasnt sure if just under 29 was ok. Great job on the grow too.

Thanks it was my first indoor grow.
My thought on this though....I can fit 4 plants in my 3x3 with proper training. I would probably keep the 4 plant limit in a 4x4 too. So really all it does is gives me a little more room but takes away from my watts per sq ft. Did you run 4 in yours as well?

Yes I had 4 in there
Going to keep your grow as a mental note. I just started running one DWC bucket but I usually grow in soil. If the DWC goes well, I plan on turning my 3x3 into a 4 site setup. If the DWC goes well and I do decide to go down the road, the extra room in a 4x4 might be what I need for the extra pumps and lines.

Hi fellow Marsians. Hope your grows are going good. I am now on another Mars lit run following a great success with their last runout.
I am using 2 x Mars hydro TSL-2000 ' supported by an sp250 for the middle of the canopy.
My last run with the array harvested 41oz from the 850w approx which smashed my personal career best of 31 oz from 2x 600w HPS !!!
I am amazed at the capabilities of these little powerhouses and each grow with them is a new lesson in how to get the best from them. I am now getting better side reflection too as I have a more permanent walled grow room since rebuild.
All the ladies below are 6 weeks ( besides 2) since seed in cube and all went under the sp250 until a few days ago when I turned the 2 tsl2000 on. Now the sp250 is off until I need to start scrubbing the air/heat or flipping. There is plenty of light for the whole area now and I expect to be able to keep it another 2 weeks for the NFT tanks to catch up . The big Los ladies are fast flowering testers so there growth is phenomenal compared to the NFT ladies.
let's see how we do this run

Type Irish road racing into the YouTube search box and you'll see why the Irish need saints, lol, especially now that the Tuatha Dé Danann rarely walk the lands of the Emerald Isle.
they would get run over !! , clever anunaki.

I'm not sure if you realize but I assume you do....the one TSL-2000 isnt light in the one pic.

I think you mean the lit ones in the last pic ?. After the pics and as i finished working in the room i switched the second tsl on and the sp250 off. All now on 2 x tsl at full power and light hung at approx 30" I gave them all a good stem crushing /supercropping too now so looking forward to seeing how they recovered overnight. thanks for the comment

I figured you realized but wanted to make sure....those timers can be screwy sometimes.

TS3000 is enough for 4x4 tent. You don't have to worry, although it has lower wattage, it is more efficient than traditional led lights
