Does mars ship stealthy?

I got a SP-250 yesterday, it had a small UPC barcode sticker (less than 1" x 4") that said Mars LED on it, so it's nothing that jumps out at you to say what is inside as the Fragile stickers are 10x as big as it......but Sara might know if any of the other lights boxes of theirs the same or if have more markings to them.

Hi Dwight Monk, yes, the stickers are a must on the package. We try to make it as smallest as possible

Good morning. What is the difference between the sp250 and the tsl 2000? Cant decide whinch one to get!! It looks to me that the tsl has a little more output.
Hi Dsbuds, The are different design:

- Mars SP will be more instense light, so better penetration.
- Mars SP has a thick heatsink to release heat, so the light body won't be so hot as Mars TS
- TS will give you better coverage
- They are all wattage adjustable, SP 250 uses Meanwell driver, while TS uses other brand driver, which is also UL listed.
- SP 250 is whole lightbody waterproof.
- SP 250 is around 230w, while TS 2000 is 3000w, SP PPE is around 2.35~2.58umol/j, while TS is around 2.15umol/j, so SP will save you more energy,
I personally like the SP more . :D

Me to!!
Hi Sara!!

:ganjamon::ganjamon::ganjamon: Always. Love those beautiful flowers

@Old Salt I wanted to ask you what hight are you keeping your light at during veg?

Around 24" (60cm), but im not fanatical about it. I start at about 30" (75cm) and just let the plants grow until I see signs of lightburn, then I raise the lights 4-6" (10-15cm).

I was at about 12" with no sign of light burn (Is that still to close?) but I raised them today to around 24" for a little better coverage. Just hopping my par value is still efficient to do the job ... It's the Eco 120, but sense talking with you and doing some more research it looks like I'll be getting the SP 250 for much better coverage in the 2x4 tent.

The minimum distance between the canopy and light is equal to the maximum horizontal distance from the closest emitter to the edge of your canopy. This is for lights with LEDs with a 90° beamwidth. As most grow light fixtures have LEDs with that 90° beamwidth, this is always your safest bet. After that, follow the manufacturer's recommendations and watch your plants. You can raise of lower your lights, but getting closer than to the rule I gave above will leave the edges of your canopy with insufficient light.

Thank you man, I think I'm going to stay around 20" for now. Are you close to flipping your current grow?

I've done a half flip. :cheesygrinsmiley: I took two of the plants out of the tent, and switched these to 12/12 lighting June 30th. Rather than dropping the light, I'm letting them stretch up to 12" (30cm) from the light and will then start to raise it. This is a three-strain feminized seed run, so I need these plants that have one branch each treated with STS to mature faster than the others.

They were put under the Mars Hydro TSL-2000 on the 25th of May as seedlings. A week and a half later they were root bound, and I transplanted them into their final containers. Counting that as the start of veg, It was only three weeks.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can mount this light higher? I had to improvise the mounting clips it came with to my yo-yos but that leaves me hanging 22" from the top at my highest point. I have a 5 foot tall tent so that means as of now my plants could only become 3 foot at the tallest... Which I'm not trying to get higher than that I just would like more headspace for them..

What are the physical sizes of the tent, light, fan, and filter?

Skip using the cable, go directly from the rope ratchet to the clip. You will need 2 more rope ratchets.
Should get you to 5 inches or so.
