Thanks Deville, but the price won't drop so much, bc all the parts of the COB that we use is not cheap this time

All the parts of Mars Hydro COB price can check on eBay:
The price of MW 100H 54A : $59,
The COB 3590 3000k, which the bin is 30H CD: $54.99,
The finned radiator is about: $40,
The Cree&Osram chips are about: $30

Total cost will over $180, That is means even if you DIY you own COB with the same parts your cost won’t less than $180. Since we are a company, we have some fixed expenses need to pay, like pay the workers, shipping fee, custom duties, storage charges etc. So the price won't change a lot.

It is expensive Sara :) But it is a very cool lamp. I wish it was cheaper so I could afford buying 6-7 of it :)

I also want to know the COB performance:cool: hope it can produce great buds

We will learn the next 3 months how well the Mars COB performs. I am growing 7 plants under it right now. If that little lamp Is able to produce enough grams per watt, it will definitely be worth the money.

Yeah, Mars Pro II 80 is another choice, smaller lamps will more flexible

The pro series are a great investment. If you truly have no budget limits, I would however buy 8 of this lamp instead of 2 320's. You get to spread them much better in your tent and that's a super advantage.

Here's from one of my tents

Thank you for the kind words, would love to see that:cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:

I can already tell ya, it's going to kill it. I believe soon this will be their biggest seller

This COB aim to growers who have concern about the noise and heat, we know some people will grow plants in their bedroom, so quite and low heat will better for them.

The COB is as close to perfection I have seen in a lamp. It's so lovely it is fanless, no noise. And also that the whole lamp stay so cool you can touch the lamp anywhere, even after being on for several days, it doesn't get hot - not at all. It never gets uncomfy to touch.

What I wish for to be able to replace my pro-series with COB's only. But that would cost quite a lot if I want to replace all 1600 watts with cob. But I see the DIY solutions out there are super expensive too.

They are cute, young babies always grow fast, I have faith that few days they will become girls, and then women hahaha

Took 4 days for 7 plants to break the surface

Reflector 48 is small light, yes, you can place two plants under it when growth, but flowering, I would love to add another lamps, that will give enough light during flowering.

Hello everyone!
I just ordered mars hydro reflector 48x5 and a tent 70x70x160 CM from mars. I have few grows behind with CFL-s but im new when i comes to LED. So i am curious can i grow 2 autoflowers under this one panel in this tent? I read about a little around forum and it seems possible, but people always add some cfl-s and stuf.. I dont want that, so is it possible with just one mars 48?

Hmmm, add another lamp will better, put the panel higher, yes the coverage indeed will bigger, but the penetration will not enough.

Thanks for quick answer man! But it bothers me, they say that veg coverage is 60x60 that is ok but in flowering stage only 40x40cm. That is not quite for 2 plants... should i hold my panel little higher than usual? and is that recommended to do?

You asked about price Sara - It has Cree and Osram, they're supposed to be more efficient. It will probably perform better than 100 watt HPS. I see other companies that sells lamps with such chips and leds, they rate their lamps much higher than the pull from the wall. Some rate their 80 watt pull from the wall lamps as 240-250 watt. If the Mars Hydro cob perform as well as those, then it is a bargain. So it is very interesting. I can't wait to test it in DWC. That's when we get to see what it really can do yield wise. Sadly I need to save up some money before I can do that test :)

We want people know that the COB price was reasonable, not on wild speculation. We don't want to fool our customers.
Will wait to see your final results about the COB:tokin:

I'm growing in my bedroom (with a mars 300) so I totally would love too! But have no budget to do so.... .

Is the COB more resistant to water than the other lamps Sara?

How about the Mars 300? does the noise is a problem? Hope you get great results with Mars 300

I'm growing in my bedroom (with a mars 300) so I totally would live too! But have no budget to do so.... .

I was growing in a bedroom with Mars Pro Epistar 160 :) It was quite horrible. That fan is maybe not so loud, but when you have to listen to it all night, every night. It kinda drives you crazy. So a soundless lamp is a very good thing

Right, when you growing in bedroom, even very small sound will drive you crazy
