Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

It's gonna be great Sara :) Now I can finally put the Pro II series lights to the test. We will see how they perform for real in such a setup.

:circle-of-love:The Mars 300 is our old modle,it install with glass cover, the Reflector 144 install without glass cover,so the heat will not remain inside of the light. And the Reflector series lights with better built-up compare to the Mars 300.:high-five:
May i know which country you from? You can purchase the Reflector 144 this month, "Mars-hydro shopping festival" we have special price for it on our official website, and you can use the coupon code: marshydro, you will get another 3% off.:bravo:
What would run hotter in a 4x4x6.6 tent? Two Mars Reflector 144s or 5 Mars 300s the white 60diod 5w version?

Im in the US. Im currently running 5 Mars 300s in the 4x4 tent and wondering if there would be any benefit in using two Reflector 144s instead. Yield, heat produced etc etc etc. I solved my heat issue running the 5 300s by exhausting the tent to the outside. Id like to exhaust inside but need to get the heat down and if the reflectors 144 would help with that I may consider giving them a run next grow.

Mars COB led grow light online now,the products are on the way to international warehouse, details check on our official website.

That's cool - Can't wait to test this lamp. Will perform the test with DWC buckets. I belive that growing system will be able to show the full potential of this lamp

I think the Mars-Hydro COB is the most stylish retro-lamp I've ever seen. My girlfriend agrees. If it were not for it being a grow-lamp, I would have used it as a living-room lamp. It does look that great I think

:goodjob:That's no doubt, you always surprise us with beautiful things.:volcano-smiley:

:circle-of-love:The Mars 300 actual watt is around 135w,so 5pcs will be 675w,and the Reflector 144 actual watt is around 298w,so 2pcs will be 596w.
So for sure, the 5pcs Mars 300 will release more heat than 2pcs Reflector144.But at the same wattage,Reflector144 will release be cooler.:high-five:
The exhaust system will help to down the temperature, you can also add fans for your tent.:high-five:
For a 4'X4' area grow tent, you can check out the Mars Pro II Epistar320,it's with the upgraded chips and drivers, has ventilation vents all around the panel.and install without glass cover and lens.It will higher light intensity and penerate deeper, and run cooler.:Namaste:

:circle-of-love:I tested the new COB light yesterday,in our grow tent. When we hang the light at 18" high, the PAR value under the light is high, and we hang the light around 35",the PAR value under the light is less, but the PAR value at the corner didn't change too much.:high-five:

so how high would you recommend me to hang the lamp?

That's a great idea,i think it can be used as living room bulb.I will try in our office,haha:volcano-smiley:

After the test run, I think I will use the COB for mother-plants

Wrestler have so many beautiful plants I almost get tears in my eyes when I watch his photos :)

Wow! They're getting heavy Dark - Remember I had to do that with Pure Power Plant when I grew it out naturally. The two last weeks the colas would get so heavy the plants would just fall over and snap.

I'm good Sara. Been really busy around the house and have been having a few health problems which seem like are coming back around finally. Everything under mars lights are doing very nice. Should be chopped down in next 10 days or so.

Yup her legs aren't strong enough to hold those colas up. Also was expecting such a stretch out of her either

:circle-of-love:Usually it should be the same hanging distance as our LED grow light, but after i tested for different height,i found that when you hang it higher, the average PAR Value didn't change too much.I will consult with our engineer.
My personal opinions:it depends on how many coverage you want to have, and how many wattage your plants needed.:high-five:
so how high would you recommend me to hang the lamp?
