In summber, the heat is not easy to control,it's easily go high. You can can install exhaust fan to direct the hot air out.
Did you install the carbon filter system?

With the intake fan,and exhaust fan

Yes I have a carbon filter & fan combo, that can be used to pull heat from the tent and draw in new air to cool the room. I was more or less just looking at more efficient ways to run the lights without having to turn on my large exhaust fan until flower.

The lights themselves are wonderful, but the radiant heat being discharged through the sides of the unit just heats up the entire room, not just the tent. I am a hobby grower, and I like to tweak and improve upon everything I see, just hoping there was a good way to redirect the airflow out through the top of the unit instead of the sides. I have some decent CPU heatsinks and liquid cooling stuff laying around that I may try and integrate, but I worry the contact surfaces may be too small for a panel. It can all be powered separately without drawing power from the lights drivers. Maybe worth it, maybe not. That's what's cool about a hobby!

Anybody ever built a giant "cooltube" for these things? Just trying to be forward thinking about this stuff. These LED lights are pretty dang awesome in my book, I just see a lot more cooling potential. Thank you very much for your time!

You guys do know that Sara doesn't care about your plants right? She says beautiful to every plant she sees. She's just trying to move merchandise and keep up the public relations.

Well she does a great job of it and that is why they are paying her. Always did like me a cheerleader. Encouragement is what this site is all about. You're dynamite Sarah.

Agree with deville on number one. Don't really care for any of the rest. You should check out the art for emerald harvest nutrients it's totally killer. I was thinking more like the planet mars growing a MJ plant.

I agree with So1278. The red planet in the bg maybe and mars hydro in the front. It shows a company aiming for the future.

Indeed we know Sara is trying to sell lamps :) It's her job and she's very very good at it. I respect that

:circle-of-love:The heat sink will collect the heat from the light, but it will dissipate the heat to the air,so it will help cool off the light, but it can not help cool the growing room.:high-five:How about the temperature outside of your growing room?:Namaste:
You have carbon filter, did you also have inline fan with your carbon filter? In your last picture,i only saw one fan in your growing room, you may add one more, one intake fan to direct the fresh air into your tent, one exhaust fan to direct the heat outside of your tent.....in summer, the temperture easy to be high.:high-five:
You have a good hobby...one of my hobby also is growing....but i didn't give too much time to it recently.....maybe i should do something about it now...:volcano-smiley:
