Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I like the way this guy is thinking. I agree - for promotion Mars-Hydro could have a lot to gain from allowing non mars-hydro users to participate too. I too believe that would attract many potential new customers. But it's also important to take care of your current customers. So it would be cool with both kind of contests maybe?
I agree with both of you i am in so bad need of a nice mars hydro but to import them to my country makes the light more than double what it costs .... I would love to compete or even buy one but cant .Sara please do consider a comp for prospective customers as well who are in dire need of your product

Allright @Mars Hydro - I have made up my mind! This is my contribution to the photo contest. This is White Widow from Dutch Passion and Bubbleicious from Nirvana seeds. They are grown in a homemade room. 8 plants under scrog in Autopot system under 2x Mars Pro II Epistar 320. It's day 59 of flowering today. Think they will need another week before harvest. The trichomes has started to become cloudy, some of them almost white, but no amber yet. They're all becoming so beautiful. Look at those autumn colors!

:goodjob:so many fresh leaves....it's two plants...but looks like they 4plants leaves...awesome....The Mars Pro II Epistar80 looks perfect for that growing room.
Here's a photo of my Big-Bud & Pure power plants. It's two plants, 33 days in vegg. Flipped the switch today so we start the countdown from 60 now :) @Mars Hydro

Look at them leaves stretching towards the 4x Mars Pro II Epistar 80. The plants truly are in love with this light

:thanks:thanks for your opinions.
It's a good to let all growers ,not only Mars-hydro growers to join the contest....i will take with my manager...
But as the new design COB light is a small light,so we want grower compare it with our other model,so this time only Mars-hydor gowers....:high-five:
We design this COB light because of many growers want Mars-hydro have COB light.:Namaste:
Ah . . . you want some free marketing advice. It will cost you since I will seek you out when I need an upgrade.:high-five:

The existing 'picture for a free fixture' promo is a good one but ranking it by likes is questionable. And it should run for 30 days for exposure. It is never a bad thing to thank existing owners & they will be the most likely buyers of a cob (since it's upmarket) but you also want new bodies. Giveaways & discount savings always attract lookers & buyers. Maybe do pictures of an existing grow space that badly needs new lighting? The worst wins!

An annual tent + light promo would be an idea that targets new customers + existing since many here would love a 2 tent setup.

The add-on lights — like the strip - would be attractive to all so they are a good future giveaway.

BTW. The plain brown box is good for stealth. But jazz it up inside. Put a plastic bag on the light — it just looks more professional. You could also double box with a glossy one inside the plain which also would help prevent damage. As you probably know, US shippers are brutal. Have the manual properly translated into English & get a graphics artist to lay it out. I have spent my whole career selling imported goods & luxury goods & everything makes a difference.

in the near future,we may have a chance to hold that kind of contest:cheer:

:circle-of-love:We also want to sell our products to your country...but the shipping fee and the custom clearance charge is super high...sometimes it expensive than the products:high-five:...we hope we can figure out a way in the near future:Namaste:.......we never want to refuse any customer...:Namaste:

I understand. How do you think the COB will compare to the pro II 80? The COB draws 110 watt I see and the 80's draw 200 watt. I've been following some grows with COB lights and they seem to perform better. have heard of people getting close to 1,9 grams per watt under COB. Not sure I believe it though

we want grower compare it with our other model

Notice how they're all so vigorous stretching towards the light. Almost like they're ehem... erected :) I have noticed this with all my grows after I started using Mars-Hydro lamps. The plants were never this happy under HPS. At least not in my grows. It's very clear that the plants are loving the lights. Really amazing stuff

Hello Mars Hydro!!

I have used the reflector 96 for the whole duration of this plants life. She started as a manifold, then she changed her mind and decided to not be one:). I will be starting my next grow when the black and blue hyena (from hyena Mercia the master) run I am doing finishes. The idea for the next grow is another black and blue Hyena seed based grow, this one will be 4-6 monster plants in Dutch buckets or Aero type set up. With HST and LST, and a patient vegetation cycle, I will show how deep your cobs will penetrate and promote growth at all exposed levels of the plants. My environment is heated and AC treated as needed. Would love to set up some Cobs in my 4x4 and see what kind of beasts we could make. The 3x3 would stay reflector and HM unless it was a 2 tent cob project. Here is my Super Silver Haze just getting juicy under those awesome reflector 96 LED lights!

I have a question about my Mars 300 panels. I have 3 of them that I would like to run together in a "bank" fashion, exactly like this.
420-magazine-mobile389714122.jpg

The problem that I currently have is the heat being exhausted from the side ports just fills my tent with hot air. I have a Can max 6" fan to cool everything but had an idea also. Can the fan inside be flipped to "pull" the heat away from the board, and exhaust through the circular opening on top? I could run a duct out to a manifold and heat goes bye bye.

My only concerns would be the board overheating but is that even an issue since you are still pulling cool air in from the side slots? Plan B is a 600watt HPS with cool tube reflector. Blowing into the outside hopefully. May end up with the same issues though. Anyways this is what the current flow is, I just want to reverse it and direct it out via duct.

Read in the news that China is planning to shut down the possibility to use VPN to access "banned" sites on the internet. Pages like Facebook and many other social media platforms are illegal in China. I am wondering how will Mars-Hydro be able to communicate with us after that?

"China orders telcoms to block individual access to VPNs, says report

Since all "immoral" pages are illegal in China I bet 420 mag is blocked out for the country's population as well.

Here is King Tut

After all her pain and suffering she is pulling through very nice.

Some sweet and citrus smells coming off her

Hey gang, just finished up my harvest (finally!) and wanted to share some results as it's turned out to be my most successful harvest yet - going to break the 2 pound barrier (dry) using all MH LEDs.....super pumped! I grew 5 plants under 3 x MarsII 900's and 2 x Reflector 96's, all in 100% coco, in a top-feed drip system using GH nutes. I decided to scrap the SCROG this time, and just top/supercrop/train heavily. I also defoliated and lollipopped all 5 plants fairly heavily, and was super happy with the results - all useable bud with no larfy stuff. 4 of the 5 plants have been chopped, dried, weighed, and have been curing in jars for about a week now. My Grapefruit Diesel plant went a solid 11.5 weeks, so it just got chopped this weekend and is currently hanging dry. I included a pic of the garden before harvest, as well as a bud shot of the Lemon Kush Headband.

By plant, here are how things are weighing out:

HSO Lemon Kush Headband - 7.5 ounces of dry bud
HSO Raspberry Diesel - 5.5 ounces of dry bud
Delicious Seeds Critical Sensi Star - 10.25 ounces of rock hard nugs, this plant was a beast!
DNA Silver LA - 4.5 ounces (smallest yielder, but dark purple/crazy frosty buds)
Next Generation Seeds Grapefruit Diesel - still drying, but will be in the 5-7 ounce range, reeks of grape!

I'm thrilled with these results! The 4 plants that are dried and in jars total 27.75 ounces, which means I only need the Grapefruit Diesel to dry to 4.25 ounces to break the 2 lb barrier! I think it is closer to being a 6 ounce plant, so I should end up somewhere between 33-35 ounces for this all-LED grow, and that was with losing 7-8 LEDs on my oldest MarsII 900 halfway through veg.

I'll share some pics of everything in jars once the Grapefruit Diesel is done drying in about 5 more days.
