Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I noticed that some grower think our steel hanging kit is little too long in their tent, here is the way how you shorten it:
You can use it as dual-wire hanging kit.

 sorry, this hit my funny bone !

The only thing that caused me to chuckle was the part about breeding out CBD. Since breeders did exactly the opposite for decades when they crossed every decent sativa they could get their hands on with an indica in the quest to reduce flowering time, produce denser/heavier buds, or just to sell more seeds, lol... I think it is great to see a resurgence in the interest in sativas. Plus there are more and more strains appearing that are not only high-CBD but have very low levels of THC. To the extent that it is now apparently possible to consume(/smoke) bud, get the CBD you need... and not even get a buzz.

Oh, and those $30 seeds? Actually, I just had a look and saw Sensi Seeds' Jack Herer @ 10 for $145, NL#5xHaze @ 10 for $198 - and Serious Seeds' AK47 @ 11 for $90, Bubble Gum @ 11 for $78, and Kali Mist @ 11 for $90... and those are two of the more expensive breeders (and well worth it, I might add) so IDK where the person is doing their seed shopping... Doggies' Nuts, perhaps, lol? But even if a seed costs $30, that one seed is fully capable of growing into a mother plant that can then produce literally thousands of clones - or seeds, if you prefer to go that route - so, IDK. Seems like a bargain to me. Several years ago, someone offered me $100 for "Five clones. Or three. Or... a clone?" I just gave him a half dozen. <SHRUGS> Spread the cannabis, right? When I think of all the effort that I have spent on growing cannabis through the years... Genetics are not only cheap, they are PRICELESS.

BtW, a grow tent - even an expensive one - can be a bargain. Sure, lumber is not the most expensive thing in the world. But not everyone has simple carpentry skills (or should be trusted with a saw ;) ). Lots of people do not own any of the necessary tools; and, although they can be used for (many) more things, if a person is never going to use them for another of those purposes, they are effectively a waste of money. Also... Not everyone is lucky enough to own a truck (or a vehicle). I recently had the less than wonderful experience of trying to carry a sheet of drywall home. First, "a little wind" is not a little wind when you're carrying something flat and rigid that is four feet wide and eight feet long. Second, crossing a busy road with one might have been funny if I watched someone else do it on television - but it was pretty scary in person. And then... And then the thunderstorm that I had been trying to beat home won that little race and I ended up throwing my broken and soggy piece of drywall into a dumpster. And I found myself thinking, "If I could afford to order a grow tent, a nice man in a big brown truck would bring it right to my porch - and I could assemble it in 20 minutes, without tools, without any fear of it getting ruined." Not to mention - but I will, lol - that grow tents have nice reflective interiors, spill-proof floors, et cetera. And, yes, they cost money - but we have Sara in this very thread acting as a go-between with us and her company's engineer, and they are in the process of redesigning them to suit us, the growers. That has to be worth something, right there.

And those expensive LED lights... It wasn't all that long ago (okay, it has been decades now ;) ) that people were telling me that I didn't need one of those fancy HIDs - they were metal halides at the time, no one was using HPS yet - to grow cannabis, to just grow under fluorescent tubes like everyone else instead of "wasting my money." <SHRUGS> New technology costs money. Products that aren't sold by the million cost money. A company's research and development costs money.

Sometimes, to ensure a bigger/better harvest, you spend money. It's not like grow tents, lights, and great genetics just up and disappear after one use....

Then many people like it .haha:cheertwo:
:Namaste:Well ,sometimes i just keep dreaming, any kind of dreams.Even after you wake up at midnight, when you sleep again, last story will continue...It always make me so tired.Sometimes are scary dreams...ghosts,zombies...:volcano-smiley:
Ruderalis are autoflowers everyone is growing them lately.
Sleep was sleep nothing exciting

Hi TorturedSoul,:circle-of-love:I always like reading your words,i can learn lots of thing from them.:Namaste:
And by the way,my left hand is ok now, only two fingers still red,but i think it will recover this weekend.:cheertwo:

Does anyone ever grow Ruderalis strain?

Pure ruderalis has little value (although, like (non-GMO) "industrial" hemp, it might have some medicinal value due to having some CBD but hardly any THC). It is used by crossing it with a "regular" cannabis strain so that, after a few generations, the breeder can produce a strain that (hopefully) automatically flowers in a certain period of time regardless of the length of the night-period.

IIRC, ruderalis was traditionally used in Russia and Mongolia to treat depression.

I C,everyone here is expert on cannabis,except me.I really wish i can taste some of it,even just a little.:volcano-smiley:
Most Russian are very tall and strong,i think they need strong weed...:volcano-smiley::volcano-smiley:

Take your next vacation in Amsterdam - or better yet, one of the US states where it is not merely tolerated but legal: Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. You will probably love the climate.

I'd like to pay a visit to Washington,i can smoke weed there without get caught,right?:volcano-smiley:
