Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

those are all Cree diodes in the new lights.

Where are they getting deep red Cree LEDs? To the best of my knowledge there is no 660nm Cree made diode.
Likewise, If you could post the name of the company (as long as it's not Cammie it should be fine) that you are using that would be great. The only ones that I can think of that use red and white only are Apache and Area51.

There have been a few different companies and forum groups try the all white and then added red and now most of them have moved back to different mixed ratios of warm and cool whites with reds and blues. Each group seems to forget about curtain aspects of plant growth as the fumble around what I consider to be close to the correct ratio and spectra. I believe Apache uses 3 watt diodes but only drive them at about 400mA. However, when your panel cost over $7 per watt, you should be making the best damn light out there by far... and they are not even the best IMHO. I really wish Apache would take all the NASA crap off of their site. They have never been used by NASA and was never in the running for the 2 LED panel request that NASA put out years ago.

whats your take on Lush Led's, Ive seen some exellent results with them and they are pretty expensive too, I dont mind spending the big bucks if I know they are good quality lights, I ll probably be going with Area 51's new panel when I upgrade, I get very good results with my current lights but im moving my grow to a 20 x 30 workshop im building in a couple months so im going to need 8 -10 more panels.

Well, first are you referring to lushled or lushlighting led? If it is the former... they are simply resellers. If it is the latter, they are simply lying about their product. They cannot offer all Cree LEDs and have wavelengths below 453nm or above 634nm. They claim to have UV and IR (which their spectral distribution suggest otherwise) and Cree does not make anything in those ranges..

Oh ok lol...you mean root medium, not root median, root median is a mathematical equation, for the life of me I could'nt figure out wtf it had to do with led lights:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yup, I typed that at 1:22 AM in the morning. But obviously you're above and beyond making any mistakes that time of day.

Hi Techman, thank you.

I can know the price 22th July I think. the one we send to Jon is sample light, it will be ok next weekend. As soon as I get the final information about this light, I will tell you how to get one to try.
Sara,

Do you know the pricing for these?

Can you provide the specifications?

How can I get one to try? (6 part or 8 part)

:thanks:

The chip we are using in our NEW light is Epistar. we do not plan to use CREE chip in our light in the near future becuase CREE do not have some spectrums we want. and CREE is really very expensive.

if everything is ok, the light will be shipped to you at the end of next week with FEDEX. then give you tracking number.
So when will you be shipping the light to me?

this morning when I begin to work, I think I can get something from trewalker tell us how he grown with our LED, and we are here to help him grow well together, but I get nothing.:( when I can solve this problem? I want a happy weekend.
