Just purchased my second Mars pro II 160 light to go in my Mars 3'11" X 3'11" tent. This is going to give me optimum coverage I believe. One is bright but two will be even brighter.

:tokin:they all look healthy and happy.
9 days after 12/12.
Several shoots sprung up about 10 inches to a foot on top above the rest of the plants top foliage.

Hi guys and gals, I have been seeing some serious issues with my Mars 2 1600's. Had a look this morning after the lights turned off and I could not believe what I was seeing, I counted 20 burnt diodes and some of them are completely melted off and dripped onto the glass covering. Not only am I worried about a fire hazard but how long are these panels going to last, this is not even close to a year in use.

So after seeing how many diodes have melted at the rate in which they have, there is NO WAY these panels will live out their rated lifespan. And here's a bigger problem for me, I have 6 more 1600's in use that are a few months newer and I noticed a few burnouts already showing on them as well. So now what, do I have to order a bunch of diodes to solder on myself. If anyone sees this post and are considering buying these lights, DO NOT DO IT!! they are cheap and will not last. I spent about $6000 Canadian on them and I feel that I just got totally ripped off. I will post some pics soon.

Explorer I really don't know what the issue is and have been extremely lucky... I have purchased over 20 lights from Sara and I can honestly say I have never had an issue... I have both the reflector and Mars series... I have read of issues on herre and they are always taken care of quickly and professionally as possible seeing that they are in China... I do know what a nightmare your lights going out can be as I have had the issue with other manufacturers... Again I am very sorry you are having to deal with this and I know it is very frustrating... Our girls take a lot of our time and energy and when things go wrong... it just sucks...:thedoubletake: If you can please take a ddep breath and give Sara a chance to respond and try to remedy your issues... I honestly have no ties to M-H but I have been using my lights for over 2 years now and have never had any issues...:wood: and I have no idea why this would happen to yours but I do know given the opportunity... Sara will make it right....:high-five:....:circle-of-love:

Problem is I live in Canada and apparently the don't have repair shops to take care of the issues we have. The panels still function and I would have never noticed it if I didn't see my friends panel yesterday, who is also having the same problem. He said all they are going to do for him is send a bunch of diodes to solder on himself. LMAO, so all I can say folks is that if you live in Canada and are considering buying these lights, don't do it. Unless you enjoy opening up you panel to fix it every month

And you know it's very unfortunate this is happening, because I was getting great results with them. Now it looks like they are going to be an endless problem. Looks like I am going to have to sell them ASAP and go back to the tried and true almost never fail ballasts.

That is not only in Canada and they do have a fixer upper guy in Canada.. I have no idea where or if it is even possible for you to get to them but I do know however... it sounds a whole lot worse than it is... Don't get me wrong... and Sara will tell ya... I would be freaking right the f#$@ out... it's just that I have been hanging around this site for over 2 years and I know without a doubt... even if it's not exactly to our liking the way it has to be done.... that they will take care of you... I'm a typical blonde female that doesn't have the sense to walk in out of the rain but I could do it... I wouldn't want to and I would be pissed that I had to but I could do it so I know if you have half a brain... that would give you twice as much as me :).... you can get er' done... they have posted graphs and pics with exact instructions that honestly make it child's play.... Please don't take this as me being trivial... I know the angst you are having and it is not a good feeling... again I know how much we put into our girls and when the lights mess up... Everything is out of whack and it won't be right till they get fixed and you are dialed back in... Please give Sara a chance to respond to you and I expect you are correct in that they will send you the parts... if it simply can't be fixed... I'm sure they will replace your unit... If you have some meds already harvested... my advise is to go roll one...:rollit: and take a deep breath until Sara gets back to work tonight... We can hash this out all day and it will accomplish nada... Sara can resolve it all for you in a short period of time....:high-five:.....:circle-of-love:
