Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

There is no question that cannot be addressed here, I thought that's why we are members on this site, to learn what we need to from those who know, and as we gain the experience pass it on to those who ask.

:circle-of-love:Hi arteekay, sorry about this. Ruby has told me about this. I have asked our web designer to change this. We don't have repair service center in Canada. If someone here would love to help, that couldn't be more great!:high-five:
Hi Sara,

Would you mind updating your website to remove the statement that you have a repair center in Canada. I was informed tonight that you actually don't, and it will take a month for my parts to arrive from China.

Here's the pics of the two parts I require:

Here is the statement on your homepage:

"Because we have repair centers located in the USA, UK, Germany, Australia and Canada, there is no difficulty in arranging for repairs to be carried out under the terms of the warranty."

The light is two months old.

Wow, I would think they would want to do a straight swap for that, its obviously dangerous and obviously manufacturers defect... if they ship you a relacement from the nearest warehouse, then you put this one in that box and return it, will that work for you? We can have this rectifies by next tuesday.....THATS HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DONE.....

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but in general always be careful of the amperage you are pulling and if you are using an extension cord make sure it can handle above that current by ~+15 to 20% in order to be safe. Smaller gauge extension cords are not safe for high current. This is coming from an Electrical Engineer, I could line out the exact reasons why but walls of text are generally not needed.

Ruby, seems to make lots of mistakes. Last week she told me Mars ships from GA, when in reality they don`t.
I suggest you train her better, because she`s getting quite a reputation for being DISHONEST....
Whats this person using? What series?

That is a Mars 2 900 watt and at least on mine you can't use the daisy chain feature on anything over a 96 X 5 or the main feed line where this one burned gets super hot. Mars says they will handle 1000 watt draw but I wouldn't sleep well at night with anything over a 700 watt draw any more and the line starts heating up and with two 900 watt lights the cord is Hot, Soft and limp ( not a good thing ) and that is about 900 draw watts

The way it burnt up is typical of a loose connection constantly arking

What gauge does the burnt wire claim to be?

Does anyone have any personal experience growing Humboldt Seed co Green crack feminized seeds? On one of their pages they list it as a indica dominant strain and on their other page it says sativa dominant and when you search for that strain by them on google different seed banks say different things as well. So i figured while i wait for them to reply does anyone have any personal experience or insight on this particular strain by this breeder? I am running Humboldt seed Blue dream right now and they are beautiful. I am very interested in Green Crack for my next run

I just sent them this email and i hope they reply

"I had some confusion about one of your strains i needed to have cleared up. Your green crack feminized cannabis seeds say they are Indica dominant on your store Green Crack - buy Green Crack seeds online - Humboldt Seeds UK but other sites selling your seeds for this strain are saying they are sativa dominant. And your description on your blog even mentions them as a sativa dominant HSO Green Crack | HSO En

Right now i am a medical marijuana patient and i am currently growing your blue dream feminized seeds. I love them and they are coming along wonderfully. I am interested in growing your green crack feminized seeds next if they are an uplifting sativa dominant strain. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon! Keep up the great work!"

Hopefully the strain is sativa dominant because the smoke effects sound phenomenal and the buds also look amazing! Cheers everyone :high-five:

:circle-of-love:Hi Krpt, that is not completely the truth. We have taken it into consideration and therefore take the initiative to order it from Ebay so as to save time for the customer. As there is no stock for the plug at warehouse, it's the best and quickest way. It probably takes only a few days.:circle-of-love: We will try our best to minimize the time waste for our customer. :high-five:
Keep us posted I hope Mars will help more than waiting a damn month. They walking it there?

:circle-of-love:yes, that's what also we want and keep doing.:circle-of-love:

:skeptical:Hi doobie, we have consulted with the engineer. It has been caused by short circuit. One common cause for short circuit is overloaded wattage. In that situation, the cord will get burnt, but not in this color. It should be pure black, not like this color, hmm, orange-brown. :Namaste: We assume there is water.

:circle-of-love:the LEDs seem to be good.
That looks like there was a surge of current that happened relatively quickly, did any of the LEDs burn out in the process?

:thanks:Thanks for the heads-up, Densenug.
Plug is very tight and you have to make sure it is all the way in or it will cause it to overheat like a bad connection.

:thankyou:Thank you very much, Engineer. Although we have engineers at the factory, it's a little difficult to translate their meaning, especially when I am not good at electronics.:) We do need an engineer here, haha.:dreamy:

:circle-of-love:thanks for the advice, Sejd, we only have warehouse in CA and NJ. I apologize for her. :hugs: The senior manager must have noticed this and had some words with her already. She looks sad.

:lot-o-toke: yes... Randy... so we decide not to recommend daisy-chain for all our lights. Our Mars Pro series doesn't have this feauture.

I'm thinking moisture has a hand in this from the looks, These lights dont draw a ton of power really. My heavens the computer I'm banging on draws 300w most of the active time. just sayin at US standard branch circuts are as a norm 20amp @ 115v (2300w) and from breaker to device is designed to handle it , the connector on the light is of the same breed.........moisture ?
:circle-of-love:the LEDs seem to be good.
