Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:circle-of-love: thanks for the help, FeralA9X. The old model doesn't have IR. :Namaste:
That would be for the Old Model LED panel which are genuine mars panels but have only recently been removed from their website, tbh if you are looking at buying 3 i would pool that money and step up to at least the MarsII panels and spend your money more wisely on 1 panel that will fill your space, new panels are more efficient and have a more complete spectrum using a more powerful LED.

:party:Congrats on the harvest, brian:yahoo:
Just harvested another ThunderHaze Auto grown under a mars reflector 144x5 :circle-of-love: love all my Mars LED panels

:circle-of-love: BlazingBill, it will not overkill. For 5'x5', you can consider about 4pcs MarsII700.:high-five:
Thanx for the info, now checking out details on the mars II 1600 unless yall think that would be overkill for a 4x4 or a 5x5

:thumb: thanks for the advice, brian, 3pcs Reflector144 or 2pcs Mars Pro Cree256 both will do a great work in 5'x5' area.
1600 would work well for the 4x4, if your going to do a 5x5 i think going with 3 144x5 reflector LEDs for better coverag and a little more wattage. i also think there is another grower that is using 2 Mars Pro CREE LED 256 in a 5x10 foot area with great results

:goodjob:well said, Bob.:hugs: I agree with you. Plants have the nerve. Over-reaction will make them feel pressured.:cheesygrinsmiley:
I would say that this is often the biggest mistake new growers make. They don't give the girls time to dial in and relax into their environment. So people panic when they see a slight change and over compensate, flush, add more feed and the poor woman doesn't know what to do with herself. Let her do her thing and once she has settled in tweet a little if need but not too much at once and not too many things. Like all females, she will be more than happy to tell you what she does and does not like in her life lol

:thanks: thanks for your understanding, Bob. Everything is ok now.:high-five:
Sara, I got your email. I didn't log in to the correct section and the payment was sent in GBP. Thank you for contacting me and returning the payment. I have now sent the payment in USD. When you read this and my email to you on Monday can you let me know all is ok please.

Thanks again

:) thanks, randy :thumb:
I personally like several lights over one large light it gives you flexible coverage also if there is a problem with a light it is not a dramatic issue as you still have others till the one is fixed.
As for the eBay/Amazon lights I have both the 300 and 600 watt and they run along side the Mars 2 and Reflectors and neither I nor the plants can tell the difference yes the spectrum has more white than the others but plant growth under them is equal to the Mars 2 and better although more concentrated than a reflector and all lights use 5 watt leds and if you figure the power draw it is also the same.
Yes they are Mars lights and yes at least for me work as well as the Mars 2 buy what you can afford and If you get hooked on growing upgrade latter. Use the money saved to get a Med Rec and a State Card so there is no stress and you are legal

:laughtwo:haha, Stoney, they will soon. :goodluck:

day 3 under the new Mars ll 1200. So far they seem to be like img the new light. I am hoping the 2 shorter ones will stretch up a little. I am running veg only. Can't wait to see what the flowers are going to look like under it.

:cheertwo:thanks for the updation, Super~~:thanks:
Quick update for me. Everyone has been moved to 4 gallon pots. The Blue Blood had the best root ball going. This will be their final pots. I am hoping to flip around X-mas. :peace:

:cheesygrinsmiley: they look healthy.:goodjob: I am expecting the yiled...:dreamy:
Next plants in place
Mob Boss and Bruce Banner #3x Pink Kush
Programmed light for a 18 hour day peaking at 80% for 6 hours , the other hours spent going up or going down in intensity. Should be ready about the end of the month to flip to 12/12. Looks like a pretty good take from the harvest , will know more in a couple of weeks :)

:circle-of-love: Oh CatfishKnight, tha't is not good.:hmmm:
Wow. After 10 days in the dome covering I put the little ones into 4 inch pots. Looked really nice. After 1 hour of darkness the Leds came on. After about 30 minutes of 10% to 30% this is what happened. Looks like they almost wilted. Some of the Leaves also thinned out. Like the moisture was sucked out of them. I have fans blowing on low. That was last night. At least today they are still alive...

;) I am learning, but I find it difficult to respond to it as quickly as meter. :dreamy: Every time I need to calculate it from meter to foot...
You mean Sara you would not learn the foot system even for a "Foot Massage?"

:thumb: thank you very much for the help, gudyul!:ganjamon:
Do you have these lil babee shoots under friggin cree 360ies? THey might survive if you put em under something a little more forgiving like t5 . plus you had them under humidity dome yeh? Babees need to acclimatize slowly from high humid to lower humid. I read here that sprouts should NOT be under humidity tent from the get go. Only clones should be under humidity ten whilst waiting for roots to grow. even then they need to acclimatize or transition or they will wilt a little. Clones are tougher than seedlings. THis is a critical point of the life cycle of the plant. Seedlings could be stunted now if indeed they do survive. Consider start over from new beans? Not Mars Hydro fault Ha ha. Sorry for 20 20 hind sight, should have said something earlier when I saw he seedlings in the humidity dome. Just my opinion , Neh?

:circle-of-love:CatfishKnigh, I hope all of them will make it. Give them all my best wishes.:Namaste:
Hi gudyul. Lights are at 24". Both fans were on at medium. So I turned them both off. Then turned one on at low speed. Room is running at 40%. Maybe just the shock of no air movement, then alot of air movement and then no moisture around them... But at least 6 of the 8 looks like they will make it. Fingers crossed.

:circle-of-love:Hi Stoney, you can switch on both during veg. Before our MarsII doesn't have switches. Many growers use full spectrum across the whole growth cycle.:Namaste:
Should I use both veg and bloom when in veg or just veg? I have been only doing veg but want to make sure the side branches get enough light as well. I would like to know how everyone eles does it. If they have switches?

:thanks:thank you, gudyul.:hugs:
I use both switches as i read here( 420) that both is best (mars 2 n reflectors). Plus add silica for stems (n roots) beware of increase in PH with silica. Trimm inside fan leaves (controversial). Get those side branches trained by bending tallest tops below side branch tops. Go slow and easy bend entire plant over and weigh down with something heavy . Stems will snap if bent too much . some folks pinch and roll the stem in their fingers to soften the insides( hurds) the bark may split a little, then gently bend over. The bent part heals nicely in a few days. Topping highest branch makes side branches grow up to canopy level as well . Use topped for clone? Your choice.

 haha, CatfishKnight, that's awesome.:cheertwo:
Ok after 1 month of running my (3) Cree128 at 16/8 hours each day, my Kilowatt Meter said my total bill is..... $46.86. Yeah...

:circle-of-love:CatfishKnigh, I hope all of them will make it. Give them all my best wishes.:Namaste:

I showed them your text, 6 of the 8 said hi and they will try to survive... :)
