Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Next plants in place
Mob Boss and Bruce Banner #3x Pink Kush
Programmed light for a 18 hour day peaking at 80% for 6 hours , the other hours spent going up or going down in intensity. Should be ready about the end of the month to flip to 12/12. Looks like a pretty good take from the harvest , will know more in a couple of weeks :)

OK here is the ending question for my tent, mars has a 3'11"x3'11" which ya might as well consider it 4x4, can I fit a 4 bucket rootspa in there to full grow? It will be mostly indicas and hybrids.
if that will hold the 4 bucket setup from cloning to vegging to flowering, then that's the one I am getting.
Then once wife says go for it, will be ordering it from Sara

Bill, if you type COFINEST into the code bar at the end of checkout it will give you a small discount for being a forum member

Thanx Dopey Bob for that info, got it wrote down, and if i get approval from the group on the setup then will be buying the tent and light from them.

I personally like several lights over one large light it gives you flexible coverage also if there is a problem with a light it is not a dramatic issue as you still have others till the one is fixed.
As for the eBay/Amazon lights I have both the 300 and 600 watt and they run along side the Mars 2 and Reflectors and neither I nor the plants can tell the difference yes the spectrum has more white than the others but plant growth under them is equal to the Mars 2 and better although more concentrated than a reflector and all lights use 5 watt leds and if you figure the power draw it is also the same.
Yes they are Mars lights and yes at least for me work as well as the Mars 2 buy what you can afford and If you get hooked on growing upgrade latter. Use the money saved to get a Med Rec and a State Card so there is no stress and you are legal

Thanx randy, that will most likely get my wife to agree sooner buy buying those lights and later on get the biggie,Thanx again to everyone for the info and helpful tips, I must admit, I think I am more of a black thumb than a green thumb, so that's why I ask alot of questions.

Wow. After 10 days in the dome covering I put the little ones into 4 inch pots. Looked really nice. After 1 hour of darkness the Leds came on. After about 30 minutes of 10% to 30% this is what happened. Looks like they almost wilted. Some of the Leaves also thinned out. Like the moisture was sucked out of them. I have fans blowing on low. That was last night. At least today they are still alive...

:goof:you are right, Gnarl, if someone forces the foot system to me, I will go crazy.:hugs: so I choose to learn the conversion.1feet=0.3048m It's the easiest way:circle-of-love:
You mean Sara you would not learn the foot system even for a "Foot Massage?"

Do you have these lil babee shoots under friggin cree 360ies? THey might survive if you put em under something a little more forgiving like t5 . plus you had them under humidity dome yeh? Babees need to acclimatize slowly from high humid to lower humid. I read here that sprouts should NOT be under humidity tent from the get go. Only clones should be under humidity ten whilst waiting for roots to grow. even then they need to acclimatize or transition or they will wilt a little. Clones are tougher than seedlings. THis is a critical point of the life cycle of the plant. Seedlings could be stunted now if indeed they do survive. Consider start over from new beans? Not Mars Hydro fault Ha ha. Sorry for 20 20 hind sight, should have said something earlier when I saw he seedlings in the humidity dome. Just my opinion , Neh?

Cat fish , looks like light burn ( white leaves too close ) n maybe low humidity( crispy grey tips)... I hung some dripping wet towels up.
Hi gudyul. Lights are at 24". Both fans were on at medium. So I turned them both off. Then turned one on at low speed. Room is running at 40%. Maybe just the shock of no air movement, then alot of air movement and then no moisture around them... But at least 6 of the 8 looks like they will make it. Fingers crossed.

Wow... Lol... That is basically what my wife said. She said I should not use the humidity dome..

Catfish, 24 inches for those monster lights might be too close , maybe OK for clones but I would back off to 3 foot n then move in gradually. THe lil weeds will survive! Just know that the tap root need a lot of room to travel now..

I am only running my Cree128 at 90%. I have a gradual sunrise. The lights were only at 30% red with no blue/white yet. My wife laughed and said that I had to have another guy tell me she was right. Lol.

maybe hang up a couple wet towels and get that humidity up to 60 . think about transplanting into deeper pots ,those lil pot will dry out too quickly. no full strength nutes for a week or two, only light foliar feed ( sea weed maybe if you are going organic?) at night every day or soo. You prolly know this already. I just sprouted some beans for the first time in two years, mostly do cuttings but had to try some of the new strains. I read n read n read 420 info. I think the reflector series may be good for sprouts. I use 1200 as I was scared of new pro series n the remote thingees. 1200 is good work horse. ree pro is beaste , too mucho for seedlings maybe.

I saw pic of her while back , reminds me of a girl I knew in Ballard back in 74 , initials MD. Any connection? LOL

Hey Cat, West coasters are the only folks up this time of day! you must be 1 hour dif from AK time. I am 200 miles south of the Arctic Circle! Humidity dropped to 16 overnight and fried my fan leaves so I hung up dripping wet bath towels, they dry out in 8 hrs but get the humidity back up to 65 in my 8x8. Fan is on a lot though as I have two 1200 running 18/6.
