Mars 2 LED Beginners Grow - FFOF - DWC

Yes I am, if you look at the picks of the flower room under the Roslyn Road header is the mars 2 700 tent. The plant is looking like it really likes the light man I would definitely recommend it or of course I am always looking for a mars sun series grow to help me make a decision on my next purchase, there are alot of other lights out there but marshydro is awesome to work with and I feel like they truly listen to there customers in the long run

And how is your fungus gnat problem db003? I have them now and got sand to try to suffocate them I hope it works

Hey arellanobrian, I just brew lager as apart from the odd fine whisky (or maybe the odd vodka when I'm sharing with the wife) it's all I mainly drink. At the moment I've got the remains of a 42 bottle brew and another one on the go. I like to keep a few handy you know ;)

Absolutely man you always have to make sure you have have something to drink, what would we do if we ran out of the necture of life? Haha im going to have to do another batch of actual beer again soon. Im more of a stout guy but want to make an amber to keep it simple. I like making mead but I just dont drink it as much as beer but its a fun hobby

I still got them not a lot I just see a few I only got about a month more left is this grow so it does not bother me much

Ya from what I've heard they dont do the mostly damage so not as worried about them as I am mites or rot, I hope the sand works

I think the sand is a great idea against the pests but how will the roots do? I thought the better the aeration of the soil the better the roots/growth are. Not too sure about putting sand down for that, have a look at diatomaceous earth. It's supposed to work, I'm about to try some just to be sure about the Thrips (no sign since thankfully), I just want to be sure. I had someone say that a dusting of it it works best, hope that helps. If the sand does work though, let me know please :)

Ya that is what I was worried about too but im going to start putting my water in a bucket with air stone and worm castings to oxygenate the water more and introduce a more organic nutrient. I will continue to update so we will see how the plants react to the sand and how the plants react :Namaste:

Thank you mysteryseed!! And I'm liking the vids more and more haha glad you guys haven't gotten tired of it yet:thanks:

Week 10 updat: day 15 flower

Hello 420 mag i hope all is well in your gardens and im glad you stopped by. im very happy to say the ladys are in flower and the bud clusters are filling in nicely :volcano-smiley: im hoping the plants take about 9 weeks to flower so hopefully by mid july ill be chopping these ladys :thumb: haha but here is the info about the girls.

my Golden Goat is still showing some rust spots but i figured it would take a little while to see the nutes take effect so we'll see if the new growth gets any rust. other than that i did end up putting a layer of sand for the fungus gnats and while im happy with the results i find it harder to tell if the soil is wet under the scrog because i cant pick the pots up as easily and the water goes down the pot much slower and if you do water to quickly it makes holes in the sand so i like that it works but kind of annoying in general so ive ordered a free sample of SNS pesticides and see how they work for me. last 2 waterings have been with General Organics go box nutes, first full strength and then half i will be giving just water next time.

my kosher kush in coco is def the star of the grow :cheer: shes looking so grean and healthy!! she is a beast and looks like she is going to be the giver of the group. ive still been feeding full strength General Organics go box except half strength cal-mag PH'd at 5.5-5.7 and i am now feeding 1/2 gallon one day then 1/4 gallon the next so i feed everyday now. ive also put a layer of sand to deal with the fungus gnats and there are def less now but same issues i have had with the golden goat.

I gave both the Golden Goat and Kosher Kush there final trim as well so this will be how they look hope you guys enjoy and ill have a vid soom :Namaste:

Roslyn under her own mars 2 700 not to much with her. i gave her the sam full then half strength nute as i did with golden goat

and the veg tent, ill have more about whats in here when i post the week 10 vid :Namaste:

looking good, man. the new growth looks nice and green. the yellowing definitely looks like a nitrogen issue but it should be okay. good job!

Im loving my mars lights!!! im planning on removing the t5 from the veg room and going all marshydro LEDs :circle-of-love: i was using nothing but T5's before and i have better coverage, lower heat and better growth. i know people say that HPS is the best and LEDs dont give you the weight and density that you can get but im happy with weight im getting as a beginner and ive been seeing the best quality medicine ive ever had. but if anyone was on wondering how the lights perform i would defiantly recommend these lights to anyone!!!! :Namaste:

thank you sir :thanks: im very happy with this grow, its crazy how much you learn on a daily basis about your plants and next time ill make sure to feed the ladys earlyer and once i run to my grow shop i will be getting some castings for the compost tea.

Nice update arellanobrian, those plants are coming on a treat. Happy to hear the sand has done the trick! I've dusted some diatomaceous earth down on my plants now to see how that works, I'll let you know the results. All the best and happy growing :)
