Wow Marley...awesome results! I was hoping for 3oz from my grow...

How large is your space?? I've got a 250w metal halide and plenty of ventilation. My temps are running between 72 and 78 degrees..I had trouble with my heat and I can't imagine that running a 400w in my space would be controllable and still be stealth..

I have a dumb question..what the hell is a hempy?! Love the mod scrog..thanks for stopping by my grow and sharing...

To be honest I'm not sure if it did anything because I don't have a grow w/o the dark period to compare it to. The upside, is potentially cleaner smoke, the downside is you have to wait a couple more days. I'd say go for it, that was my rational at least.

When you thinking of chopping?

Hey giantsfan, welcome to my journal! Thank you, I was very happy with the results of this grow. Just goes to show the power of the scrog. Not gonna have the huge colas, but you'll sure end up with a lot buds!

My space is 23"x27"x55" or roughly 20sqft. I would love to squeeze a 400w in there, but I think it may be overkill on heat. May try it sometime, just don't wanna waste $200+.

Hempy, well how to describe hempy..take a bucket and drill a ~7/16" hole 2" from the bottom. Fill with either 100% perlite, 75%perlite/25%vermiculite, or 75%coco/25%perlite..there are other ways to do it as well, those seem to be the most popular. Basically by drilling the hole a couple inches up you create a reservoir at the bottom of the bucket that the roots grow down to. When you water it 'pees' out the hole and brings in oxygen to the roots.

Great simple, effective way to grow. I can attribute a great deal of my yield to the hempy buckets.

I think I'm gonna continue my next grow here. Will be cool to show the full grow this time, with all the scrog training. Will also end up as a good reference tool for me since I don't write shit down. :bong:

Thanks Marley I think I'll try it too. Chopping should start in about 2 weeks. Of course who knows, last grow I spent over 6 weeks thinking I was about 2 weeks away lol... those were some screwed up and abused plants.

Is this a law of physics? The closer you get to the chop the slower time seems to go.

I've already reference my last grow several times so this definitely helps me keep organized. Only eight pages I know :( I think you were at 8 pages after the first day of yours! Haha!

I'm pretty sure the Alien was topped before I bought her, she is now growing 2 main stems. They are significantly droopier now than they were in those pics. Same shit that my last clones did.

The 707's currently look the best, only a slight droop to their leaves. The Alien's new growth is looking good, but the older fan leaf (that huge one) is really droopy..it's hitting the cup now. The Holy Grail looks the worst to me cus even the new growth is sagging.

I left my cam at work so I'll try and get some pictures here in the next day or so to show the droopiness..they should recover w/in the next week.

Mini update:

The 2 707's are growing nicely and have a minor mag deficiency, even though I've been feeding cal/mag and epsoms every watering...their leaves aren't too droopy and they look pretty good.

The AlienDawg has some impressive growth, considering she was the smallest of the group. Large fans are still a bit droopy, very very small mag deficiency..doing really well and happy with her progress after a week.

The Holy Grail is dying. I have no clue wtf happened, but I imagine it has something to do with her roots. She got the exact same treatment as all my clones have and she is the first to not make it through. She is still in the cab, stunted, gonna toss her soon. So on Saturday I grabbed a new clone to replace, looked for the most mature since my other's are a week in the mini hempys already.

I ended up with a Blackberry Kush. Grabbed a photo of her I'll get it up sometime tonight or tomorrow. She looks great so far, no transplant problems. She supposedly has good genetics so we'll see!

Probably veg another week in the mini hempys and then transplant to their final 11liter pots. Probably a week or two veg at most in the 11liter's then I'll flip 12/12. Scrogs will go on towards the end of veg.


Growth has been real good so far, considering the first week the roots are searching for the res..looking for explosive growth soon, things might be progressing a bit ahead of schedule.

It's unfortunate about the Grail cus it's some good smoke, at least when grown by good growers :cool: dunno wtf happened but w/e, moving on. Gonna post some info on strains.

Lookin forward to it :) It's funny, this time I'm barely checking on them, just letting em do their thing. Last grow I was constantly worrying about em. Can't wait to get some buds back in the closet though.

Yeah I'm surprised at the growth thus far. Last go around I had a real bad deficiency and this time it's only minor. I imagine that's the difference.

Not trippin on the clone death, only thing that sucks is the BB is now a week behind.

Hey lemme know if you find out any info, would love to hear it. I know Doc grew a BBK a bit ago, maybe his journal has more info..hmm, I sure hope my nugs turn out half as good as his, damn!
