Back when I had the gnats, I treated the surface with DE and would sit and watch the new gnats come out and get covered with the DE and flounder around until they died. Really enjoyed that.
Yearssss ago, when living in fla and dealing with fire ants.... we use to boil water and then get lawn chairs out, set them around and pour the water on the holes. Any ants that lived would start hauling out all the dead ants til there was a huge ring around the hole,then we would hit the hole again with boiling water. All the while partaking of beer, wine and other merriments!!:tokin: I guess you could call that sick.......

We dont have any smoking friends where we retired to either. Someone has to come visit and they dont usually bring clones!!!

I got some regular seeds coming in on this next order, plus I planted 15 bag seeds the other day..I'm going to find a nice male, harvest some pollen, and do my own seed runs :high-five:

They're just sooooo cute when they're babies!

Ya seeds and clones each have their list of pros and cons. If I had more space seed > mother > clones would be ideal, but all I currently have is my little 2x2 space.

Hey WnF, just give me the address and I'll be there. :) Never been a big fan of bugs, I've done my share of cruel things to them in the past. These guys sure deserved it though, and man are they ugly.

I could not visually see any aphids last night or this morning but the Headband I know for sure that is infected is looking worse and worse each day. Losing the battle it appears. I've got what seems to be a N deficiency, but I know its not :(

Gonna hit her again tonight with the EcoSmart.

i read through bummer on the root aphids
i have them too i've used gognats, azamax, and bayer fruit and veggie
i even threw out one infested one
i resorted to the bayer 2mil in half gallon for 3 gallon pot and then azamax drench and spry bottom of plants a few days a go it seemed to slow them down when they dry i'm going to soak them in insecticidal soap for a few minutes maybe a pyretherin soak and then a azamax top watering
after that i think i'm going to run some hydrogen peroxide to clean them out then feed with oregonism to help the roots
i will reapply nematodes after all that
hopefully it will work i'll update you on the results

you could clone them infested ones and get rid of all the infested stuff and clean up real well just another thought

Hey thanks Woh,

Sorry to hear you are dealing with these miserable pests as well. Funds are low on my end right now so I'm only using that one product so far. The whole experience is really just frustrating, I've been very close to trashing this grow and starting over.

Good idea about the clones, though I don't have a setup to accommodate that yet.

For sure keep me updated on how your battle goes. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Literally getting the life sucked out of her. I'm currently deciding which direction to go with this grow.

As an experiment you could get a quality air pump like this Elite 802 Dual Outlet Air Pump - View All - Cheap Hydroponics - Indoor Gardening and Hydroponic Supplies - (Powered by CubeCart), and make a simple DIY bubbler using something like a colored gallon plastic jug.

Pull the plant <gently of course> wash off as much mix clinging on the roots as you can and insert into a PVC coupler with neoprene puck to hold the stem in place. Use ~20% diluted veg nutes. I have seen Youtube of this incorporating flood and drain (F&D). Should it recover, you can replant or (if you combine it with F&D let it finish that way.

if it was me... I'd cut off all the yellow leaves, keep killing off bugs and see what happens.

Ya, the problem is I was going to throw scrogs on this week and probably only veg 1 more week after that. This is really fucking up my schedule, meanwhile the AlienDawg is taking off and outgrowing the headbands..even though they were significantly larger to start.

i read somewhere that if your ladies are growing tall rather than tall and out you may have a bug problem. That description fits my Headbands exactly. I've only had these ladies for 3 weeks come Sunday, so I'm not real attached.

I may toss all but the Alien and make a new scrog, a large scrog for just the 1 plant.....of course I will need more veg time to fill it properly.

The next couple days I will decide, maybe before then..time is not slowing down and unfortunately it's running out for the 707's.

Damn dude, bummer...bugs do suck, literally and figuratively. I finally got my SAGE mom cured by dunking her whole into an Azatrol solution, and putting it in the res. while she was still in DWC.

They are consuming all the nutrients from the leaves coz they cant get them from the roots. Got any foliar nutes on hand??

I really appreciate all the positive thoughts and suggestions, this is a great community. :blunt:

Unfortunately when I got home last night, the Headbands were looking even worse so I decided to pull em. So now I am down to just 2 plants. My current plan is to scrog those 2, and I'm gonna pick up some more clones and just grow them SOG style. Probably only veg 1 more week total.

Things may change, I'll update this weekend when I get it figured out.

Sorry to hear that, Marley -- hopefully the next go round will be much better for you; glad to hear though, that you're gonna scrog. I'm a huge fan of that!

Make sure you keep the clones away for a day or so, I would treat them with something just in case. And definitely be on the look out. Might take a few days for anything to emerge from the soil. Eggs might be cooking in there.
