Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

Love how they still send it to you...a nice little f/u...

Bro order from Canada or USA.. there are plenty of good seed companies here and VERY reliable. I'm done with over seas shit. Had my CC hacked had seeds stolen by customs... fuck that shit.

Neptune, Oregonelite and my FAV = Dynasty. Got a lot of seeds from SHN probably the most from there. SHN = seeds here now. All of these suggestions are 420% legit. Never any troubles.
I'm a seed-a-haulic. Forget overseas. They all suck shit ass donkey shlongs. I got my CC ripped for... ... wait for it..... $36 hundy. Put a little damper on my chi to say the least.

FLowers .. .wooohooo, lets get this party started! I'll take my seat over there in the Adirondack chair in the corner under the canopy...eh? :passitleft:

If you are referring to hemp, basically it would be a very cool cover crop...it cleans the soil, shades out the weeds, pigs eat it, you can compost it, etc. I currently do the same with oats, buckwheat, sunflowers, and field peas. I

Buckwheat?? What are you doing with the seeds???

Buckwheat is a plant that has all of the nutrients and vitamins Animals and humans need to survive. Much like kelp. Its a staple in many eastern european countries and here at our house. It's SUPER good for us. Food for thought!

I am not aware of one US seed bank that ships across state lines....tried CKS and would never use again.

Do you dry and process it for consumption? We use it as a cover crop and soil conditioner.

I sure can't wait until US can ship state to state as well. Ordering from overseas trips me out, and most Canadian companies will not ship to US "prohibited" states. Nationwide legalization down here would be a game changer. I'm totally jealous of y'all up there. LoL

I ordered from Attitude seed bank oversees. Nice selection but rather pricey. I stored most of the seeds improperly (was a little warm) and they wouldn't pop this spring. Emailed the originating seed bank (dutch passion) and they mailed me a free 5 pack of the seeds I had lost. I was worried about customs like the buddy above so I paid an extra 20 bucks for insurance and stealth shipping. So I got a free seedbank t-shirt and a bag of european skittles (black currant instead of grape ). All in all I'm impressed with the genetics. My Frisians are a foot taller than my L.A confidential and the L.A's are two months older :O

WE buy organic fresh buckwheat and also toasted buckwheat. It's been hulled and is ready to cook just exactly the same as rice but its got EVERY vitamin mineral and the right amounts of protein for survival. You can live on buckwheat. Not that we would wanna try but its good for you. My wife is Russian, its a staple there much like rice is in Japan. Think of it like kelp very similar health wise.

Oregon Elite
Neptune
annunakigenetics

These are all seedbanks I give 420% thumbs up & will ship to USA - I'm in Philly and use these companies. Some are easier to pay than others. Most are CC payment and fast ship. I just ordered from Neptune Thursday evening paid Friday (sent me CC payment) my order is in transit and will be delivered Monday. That's from the west coast to the east coast.

I'll NEVER order overseas again.

Platinum Seed Bank

Platinum is good. They carry my favorite gear from IHG. I like Neptune for IHG gear cause they have all the classics that no one else carries.

Buffalato FTW! @ Platinum 15% discount too!

I had a 13-gallon tote of finished vermicompost and I put it to use as a top dress for all the photos...this stage in the grow the soil can use a little boost. It is so damn dank and luxurious....:)....soil fetishism is real.

Buckwheat honey is a thing!

Plants look amazing.

Your vermicompost is even more amazing. Did you screen it or is that the way it comes from the worms?

We debated whether we could do cannabis honey...hard to do with the seasons...

No, that VC is straight from the bin...still had some worms in it...once you stop feeding them they fully process the remaining media and then self cull.

Worms are a thing. Get the vermicompost right and not much else to worry about.

What are your inputs to your vermicompost bins?? I know you use kelp (rinsed?) .... what else?? That compost looks REAL good.

This was my first year using seaweed and I rinsed it. I keep a winter bin inside my house (in the basement) and I feed that bin celery/potato/carrot scraps, coffee grounds, egg shells, dryer lint...and not much else. Fruit attracts fruit flies which I learned the hard way. I used that one 13-gallon bin to seed 40x new bins this spring...just a handful in each and some dirt, seaweed, and food. My summer food is more varied, as I get all the old produce from my local store (about 50 gallons a day)...most of that I feed to my pigs and chickens, but the rest goes into the worm bins...lots of cabbage leaves, corn husks (first time...curious to see how they break down), assorted greens scraps (stores remove almost a 1/3 of the produce for "bag appeal":)), bread, fruit (outside I don't care about flies), etc.

More importantly is what NOT to put in there: meat, anything oily, dairy, tomatoes, garlic, onions...

This summers' worm bins will overwinter outside and I'll use them for next summer.

My plants have been water-only this summer, so the VC is def providing for them. Just watered this morning into the VC top dress so they are getting their first boost...

Would love to see a pic of your worm bins.
Everything gets recycled on my farm back into the soil mix for next yrs planting’s. However...
I spend a good amount each yr buying worm castings which I ad into my soil mixture and prices are rising due to the cannabis industry taking off in legal states.

Your VC mixture, do you need to substitute with nutes durring flower?
As someone else stated that compost looks real good, I kinda want to sit on a bucket next to those pots and play with your soil. Lol.
