Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

Highya BH,

Oh, how cute! How long will a load burn in there? Probably fill up at night, then restart in the a.m. Been there, done that. Might want an aloe plant handy for wood burning novices, lol. We have one!
Do your cabins stay busy most of the summer? Seems like tourism has picked up here even more. Seems we can't get far enough out of town, lol.
Love the stove! Cheers

Burn time correlates to firebox size and this stove has a tiny one...it burns 7" logs! However, it does heat very well and it is mainly to be used on the shoulder seasons (May/June and Oct/Nov). The idea is they warm up the Cabin, have a cocktail and snuggle under the wool blankets for the night. Many people use it through hard Canadian winters and that means stoking it every 2-3 hours...we won't have that issue with guests since we don't rent it from Dec-April.

We added the Cabin because we knew the demand was there...

I lived up in Anson for over a year. Built a cabin on a snowmobile trail a mile off the asphalt. Had a wood cookstove (small) for heat. Worked well for (like you said) for 2-3 hrs. We'd wake up at sun up and there'd be ice in the teakettle on top of the stove. Talk about a thrill getting up every morning! Gets you moving. Ah, the good ole days! Cheers

You know it's cold when you wear a hat to bed :cheesygrinsmiley:

Well, here is some unexpected news...

Congrats. !!

Lyme Disease is no joke....
and unless you have the ovious bite mark, with the red ring, it's very difficult diagnosis . Took the Drs. about 6 days to determine that I had Limes disease. I almost lost my life ! They figured, I had had it for like a yr. .

Glad they diagnosed you correctly finally!

I've heard that same story from others, but in years past...hopefully the latest generation of doctors are more attuned to the growing risk. Generally speaking, it is only the very small (deer) ticks that are vectors...the larger (dog) ticks which I am finding on me every day lately...are not. My wife attended a local class with a MD from the hospital in recent years and it was nice to know that the not every tick is a red alert....none are good, especially if they are attached for more than 24 hours, but it's the tiny, tiny ones (that with my older eyes I am having more and more trouble seeing!) that can carry the disease.

I have seen more small ticks on me this year. But we check me over after a day of gardening closely, so not serious this year. Such a wet and damp spring. All soil bugs will probably be bad this year. Glad the japanese beetles leave my ladies alone!! Cheers

Hey Blew, that cabin is unreal... that a dream of mine. Looks amazing! :thedoubletake::adore::bravo:
Congrats on JOTM, i always enjoy your content. Looking forward to your next grow! :yummy:

Here are first pics of the ladies out in the sun in my small GH..all in 25-gallon fabric pots. I also transplanted 3x more in the medium GH in 30-gallon pots this morning...I need to make more soil.

Just dropped my autos...keeping it simpler this summer with 5x: Dark Devil 2x, Amnesia, Diesel Berry, and my old friend Northern Light x Big Bud. Last summer I ran them in 10-gallons which showed no real difference to the 7-gallons, so sticking with 7's. Also rethinking trying 25-gallons again....previous summer they kind of puttered out during flower, but now I have better VC/soil and also the plants are starting a little later. 25-gallon is also much more manageable in my smaller GH.
Did you give the 25's top dresses and or teas?
