Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

Dam. Good luck with that.
Which part? The GH's or the law changing? I personally don't see them reducing the numbers...last governor was a moron and his cronies backed the idea ...because that's what cronies do.

The law. I remember you have the legal right now. Nice big space to grow in now. They make a huge footprint in afterthought. Even in the yard i think 10 or 12 feet between them might be right, maybe more. My big girl got at least 6 feet wide last year so depending how they sit. Front to back not so wide but side to side look out.
I'm going to keep them topped and hopefully shorter and spread out this summer too. One or two steps on the ladder is one thing but no more high stuff on dirt for me. I already proved humans can't fly years ago.

Yes, we've been legal since Jan 2017...but our current law is so crazy lax...you can grow 6x flowering per adult and you can grow for others on your property (or vice versa). This led to some households having 30+ outdoor plants and that was getting rather...fragrant for some neighbors. :p

Even if they drop it to 3x I def know a few people who will let me grow theirs...:)

That's good. I think we're 6 each with a max of 12 per household in Mass. I never get close so I haven't honed up on the law really. Will the hemp growers be a problem with pollen up your way?

LOL. Got the inlaws staying at the cottage last minute this weekend...they'll get to enjoy the fragrant greenery! I turned off the fan about a week ago (humidity and temps were self regulated by upper and rear lower open vents)...so even though the tent is 6 feet from the bed it is dark and quiet.

I'm pretty sure they knew I grew, but now they'll get a first hand look :p

Hiya BH,

Nice winter we're having? Cold is much better than 6' of snow, lol. I'm guessing you get along well with your inlaws. That would be a good thing, lol.

Hiya SO,

This struck me funny. Thanks

Ya Bode, I went off a roof once. That's enough. My pleasure sir.

Took down the Bloody Skunk today....sticky. I drove it to my house from the farm and on the way called my local hardware guy...asked him if he could pop out and answer a quick question...I pull up, honk, and he comes out...passenger window rolls down and he gets hit with a wave of fragrant goodness! Nice mood changer on a 5F Monday morning!

Same here. No snow on the ground. Light on the rain.
Something I've been pondering. Is there some way to shade outside photos so they think its time to flower?

Something like a plant in a box (like a greenhouse) but with a solid front and top that can be closed up to limit sunlight to 12 hours.
Some people are known to do a couple things. Black out shades to go over green houses for a week to 10 days to manipulate the plant and get it to start flowering and then they don't worry about them.

The other option some do on small scales is to move the plants into a dark environment like a shed or dark basement to do the same thing.....and once they start flowering, they don't worry about moving them anymore.

Keep in mind, the light should naturally be reducing its time period every day so the plant will detect that the light is getting shorter and shorter and will continue to flower. Both ways can work but will depend on your growing situation and plant size.
