@bluter Would you take the EC even higher than 2.6

i haven't trusted your ec numbers for a few pages. i've never finished above 1.7 on even my hottest running grows. i'm not sure if the measurements are incorrect, or it's a wild overfeed. normally i'd expect to be looking at burnt crispy plants at that level.

in ppm on 700 scale i've never run above 1200ppm at finish.

the only thing that is clear is they aren't feeding the way they should or aren't getting the nutes somehow. i'm really at a loss on this, especially as the structure is so nice.

I'm similar i never go over 2.0. I always double check my numbers with two devices (calibrated every Tuesday almost religiously). This time I also borrowed a friend's Hanna (and don't want one of them, I feel it's a rip off price tag. All 3 came out at 2.6 for 3 days continuously this week. I mostly rely on the bluelab pen over the Aquamaster for PH but they are usually only different by a hair. I also have a PH/EC sensor app for in the res. Im still convinced its root issues. But heho they are upto 3.2 EC now, I just filled the rez. "Mistakes are never a failure,if they can be turned into wisdom" my favourite quote 👍😉

nothing feeds at a ph that high. does the ec of the res rise or fall over a couple days? is the ph changing over the same period?

this chart will help you understand what is going in dwc and res fed hydro :

I think they're locked out. But I'm new so take that with a grain of salt. I do know they're not overfed, im dealing with that now, and i dont see any crispy leaves or brown tips, which is what i have. Which mines might be locked out too, maybe getting too much of something and not enough of something else. I know 1 dang thing, i dam sure wouldnt "bin them" as you say! Lol u from England or Australia. Never heard that one before. We say chop that ho!!!lol but they look like they're gonna pull through, still a lot of green to work with. Hell my plants are yellow and burnt all over every leaf. And she's been like that since week 4 of flowering, its an auto too. She's still stacking and spittin pistils. Good luck bro on whatever you decide. May your future be filled with bountiful harvest!!

Anybody ever experience this? I'm lost!!! 😞

Yo!! If your problems continue, I'd drop the EC to about 1.7. I noticed the mimosas eat way less with EC above 2.0. they still uptake some and drink a lot but EC should always gradually drop on its own from them eating. static PH= static plant. I am also a fan of the chart @bluter posted. If the small brown dots are showing up yet then its definitely a manganese deficiency CAUSING THE YELLOWING, I faced the same issue with this strain.

oh boy another smart pot ...

looks like they missed the nute bump going from veg into flower and have a full on pk ask going. i'd also be looking at what's happening with the ph.

need to have a lot more info to be certain.

Thanks @bluter for the chart i really like it👍 the thing is my plants don't take nutrients directly from the rez because im using autopots so i think the only thing i can take from the chart is water levels (how much water they are drinking). Now they do take from the trays which I do test regularly. There may be somethings for me to learn by collaborating the chart and the trays readings. Although im not sure. Im currently at work so I apologise for the late reply. But definitely like that chart and when i can get the hell out of this place I'll be doing some serious pondering. Thanks alot 👍

My Ph in my rez is 6.0. When it hits the trays it's 6.0. After a little time it raises slightly to 6.1,6.2,6.3. Autopot USA state that the sweet spot for the trays is 6.3.

I have used autopots for probably 8 years now. I've always stuck to these numbers and I've honestly never had a run as bad as this where feed was an issue.
I've had other issues not related to feeding. Like the borg and things.

what is in the res? plain water? how do they get fed?

by what you said in this comment, I'd say EC is too high.

Thanks man appreciate the help. Thats what a few others said too. Well I'm in amended soil, amended with dr. earth. 4-4-4 and 2-6-4 They get plain tapwater thats at 6.8.-7. and recharge once a week. I amended the soil with 2tbs/gal so 10 tbs per pot, evenly split between veg and bloom. Also added 1.5cups of ewc per pot. The plant thats below her in picture is an auto too, and she's in the same soil mix and watering schedule. I water when they are light to lift.

I don't mind dude. But it probably won't get noticed too much in here. Have you posted your own thread or asked for advice in one of the other threads?
Yeah i posted to my thread...but not alot of help. I was just wondering if anybody on here has seen this before. Thanks

that is pretty much all on custom. i can't really comment on where to go unless the nute lines and media are cannabis specific.

dr. earth is not really a cannabis product. it's more of a garden thing they want to stretch. essentially tomato nutes.

the media description could be a lot of things. and maybe some that don't go that well together.

you should start a thread as well to get some more eyes.

Thanks. I get it. Your right they arent cannabis specific. I did a thread in the plant health section, so we'll see. I've been using dr. Earth and down to earth fertilizers for a couple years, and they do great. Just never saw this b4. Hell she's still stackin and spittin pistils so I'll just let her ride it out.
