The CMH is doing all the work.
I do PH, Mix nutes to my schedule, feed, wait for buds.....and look at the lovely ladies.
The CMH is kicking arse, last grow I just got the light, was coming into summer and I thought, bugger it.
Ran a grow in insane heat, so hot, even with one 315w CMH the light shutdown due to over temp.... But Im talking 35-40 degrees CELCIUS outside, nights rarely belows 25 ish. Still ran over 1g watt.
Now Im in winter, Im going whole grow lower-mid 20's lights on.
Means more trichomes, more oils, ... Just more... Hahaha.

Ya cmh is stellar fantastic plants Lowrider. I am growing 5 Barney's Orange Sherbert in veg they are growing like crazy I underestimated how fast these plants would grow under the cmh. My flower tent is 2 weeks into flower and im concerned my veg plants will be pushing the walls out on my veg tent before the flower tent is empty:laugh:
 
Really good to hear about the heat not killing everything off on you...
I'm a touch nervous on my next run as I'm already bumping 29C with everything sealed up if non weed friendly company comes over, and we've barely broken 20C outside...
Kinda wish I had gone for 2 separate fixtures as I don't believe that my unit will run with only one bulb running. Have to ask next time I am at the hydro shop.
Some of the LED tech is pretty sweet, but my CMH is rocking it for me too.
 
How far do you guys run your cmh lights from your canopy. The hydro store I bought mine recommend 24 inches.

Thats why I run bulb LEDs in Mum clone area.... Slow em down. Lol
Maybe chuck ya mums under somerhing else and flip your veg cmh to flower.... Might need it.... Lol

You should be able to run one bulb fine.
If you have a cable between bulb and ballast for each bulb there is actually 2 seperate 315w ballasts inside.
630w DE is only 630w.
Pull one globe and turn it on, wont hurt it.
Should even be able to run extension cables to get two seperate shaded 315w.

Thats a fair distance, but a safe call.
I would say 12-16", broad reflector.
16-20", focal reflector.

Nothing wrong with full spectrum LEDs mate. So much better than blurple land.
The science is behind these lights mate.
I stake my reputation as a grower on it.
Think that it sells itself, Results for low wattage with proper buds, in a decent area, decent sized plants and great yield on healthy plants.
Sweet.

Lol. No one was more suprised than me.
Quality suffered on the dry and it did get a lil warm at times, but Im smoking it now.... so cant wait for this lot of yumminess...
Cheers Irie, Im sure I have to defoliate the Gelat OG, fan leaves are blocking too much light.... And maybe a couple others. Dont usually run full blown kushes....so its a learning curve.
This grow should smash it.

Just some G13 buds I had vaccuum sealed for about a year or more....
Needed some smoko, ran out....

Mate being free of shitty weed , and having quality weed is an awesome thing.
Pretty much I could try the summer thing because my Fat Controller has a setting for lights off in high temps, I can set it.
Need decent ventilation to run in that heat though, not for the faint hearted.
Theres always the chance you lose it all.

Think those buds must be almost 2 years old.... Sheez....time flies....
 
I have never stored bud for a year that is awesome. How well does it keep its freshness in the vacuum seal?? :lot-o-toke: Flavour and aroma still there? you keep it in the fridge, or throw it in a cupboard?

Nah mate, those buds are from 600w HPS, pre my CMH days. Sorry for the confusion. I just about smoked last harvest, dipping into the reserve...hehe.

Hey Irie,
Buy a vac sealer, live it, love it.....
If you seal something with no air it cannot degrade, but you cant seal until its at least partially cured.
I store it in a cool room in a sealable bucket and every month or so check the buds are still under vaccuum.
Good for storing a bit of your favourite harvest for a rainy day....it did rain a lil....

My favourite strain Pineapple Chunk has thrown bananas on me.
At least its Bananas and not male flowers. Popped out the tops of a few buds... Im devistated but also going to leave it in. I took all off I could find but seen a few early brown hairs...

Suspected nana thrower.


I used to hang out with a few breeders and Im pretty sure that a Fem that self pollenates via banana produces Fem seed, or any other Fem that gets pollenated.
If it was a normal Male- hermie flower, you would get a hermie trait.

Fem seeds would be cool, and the Chunk is sooo good I dont think I could kill it. Lol
