Lowrider72's Under 800W Growroom Presents: 2x 315W CMH, Multistrain, Coco Grow

Hey @Lowrider72 unreal set up mate! I am only just learning the watering of coco now. So many peeps (so called professionals) recommend watering up to 2-3 times a day. I believe that has only caused me issues. Like you said fungus gnats, over fertilizing and so on. Have only just jumped on the tail end of your journal do you flush weekly at all?

How long are those girls going to be in flower for before you turn into the Queen of hearts and take off their heads??
Sorry mate, completely missed that, was pretty toasted this morning, was cold.... Coffee and Joints...mmmmm
Orf Wid Their Eads!
hehe.
Should be about 6 weeks till chop.

Im starting Week 5, Will go a total of 9 weeks in flower, a week flushing, then Uncle Chop Chop is getting the scissors out....all depending on Trichomes etc, I have a microscope or phone has carl zeiss lensed 20MP camera. Gets in for nice close ups and guage the readiness of the 4 different strains.
They are drinking more now, and after the PK next week is when the REAL flower show begins....

Welcome to the lil tent that could Curious. Hehe.
I know its a little harder but to Master coco is easy, its all in the pot weight, root condition and allowing a rise of ph as the pot drys...never more than about half the wet weigh.
I never flush during Veg or Flower when I use drip clean, it is used so when you feed and get your run off, it attracts the salts, pulling them out, but not the nutes.

If not for that I would flush every second week if I was feeding them at full nute strength.

Now I only flush once after week 6 to get the PK out they get fed for a week, then I smash them with a flower finisher for 3 weeks, then a final flush, just until it stops flowing orange...is colour of stuff.

Glad you could tune in, Coco is great to learn it, I have seen peeps stick with it or move on to DWC etc.

Joint time....

Mid Week 5....
Flower tent pic update.

I just wanted to show the plants the day after being watered, notice they are a lot more Perky, reaching for the lights.
Thats a sign in coco you have got the feed spacing in the zone....

Coffee and Jay day indeed! Haha

They’re looking so good mate! So many happy bud sites all over. Definitely not hating their feed schedule lol :yummy:

What’s your strategy for ventilation in there? Do you have a few oscillating fans going or anything like that to make sure there’s no stagnant air?

Hey Dean, Cheers man!
I have a extraction set up on tent, adjustable flow, and in those pics in between those lights is a 40cm oscilating room fan, hung upside down.

It is angled slightly down to blow air over and down behind back row, thru trimmed undersides and up other side.
Works well, bit noisy, but hey.

The CMH put out a bit of UVA and UVB, so mould issues now are pretty much zilch, unless maybe theres too much moisture late in flower and probs with larger colas. Havent had it happen under the CMH yet though.

My back is playing up so going to roll a two paper jobby....out of kingsize Rizla... Shite! ... Lol

Just thought I'd share something I do now when growing in coco to stop gnats and drainage issues.

I place about 2" give or take of clay balls at the bottom of my pot plus 2" on top of my medium.
Have not had a single issue since using this technique.

Just my 2 cents.
Hey Dirty, yeah mate, been there. Dont bother. Lady bird those gnats, or thurengisis bacteria..i think it is, bad with names. ...that sorts them.
Less watering will usually stop gnats and,a good root zone too.
Gnats are attracted to rotting roots and dampness...like gnat crack. Lol
Cheers for the tip though, appreciated mate.

A king size two paper! Yikes!

You’re not even gonna comprehend that you have a back when you finish with that! Hahaha

All good man, I have also found given we all live in different parts of this earth we all have different challenges.

My process works and so does yours and in the end we all have fun, grow our own meds and collectively share ideas and experiences. Kepp up the good work.
Amen! Its a crazy arsed world at that! hahaha.
Thanks mate, quality meds, doesnt get better.

Hahaha... I mean I have to use 2 normal papers, because I have no Kingsize........ Lol....stoner! Hahahaha.
I will show you how to roll a dutch tulip with ash catcher one day....... Need kingsize for that...

Baked as... Bloody G13 Haze... Hehehe...

Me and the mrs were looking at the nugs last night and came across those big girls and didn’t even notice they were yours! :laughtwo:

They look huge! Dense too, awesome job!
Haha...they are mine? Im smoking them then....doh , too late.. They lasted about a week, maybe a couple days more....
Were a bit light but was trying to get the 315w CMH to run with no air con in 30-35C weather.... Lol... Not ideal, was an experiment.... Needed bigger pots, hold more water, keep roots cooler.

Hey I know this is a little off subject but have you ever grown autoflowers?

I am asking because I got some auto freebies with a seed order I got and have never grown them and am wanting to plant a couple outside in some 5 gallon pots. Im wondering if you plant the seedling in their final pot to reduce stress on them with photos I start in a 4 inch pot and work up to a 3 gallon. Any tips you had would be appreciated
