Cheers Carcass, Anything that makes my job easier can't be too bad. I like the blades for wet trimming and the rods for dry trimming.Nice doodad, LR!-
@Grand Daddy Black has used one of those (or similar) for awhile now...
Does a good job, and saves a bunch of time in the process..
I'd get one if I grew more plants, but it's hard to justify the expense at only 3 (or 4) plants per year...
I like to hand trim, gives a nice finish, but 2 day Vs 3-4 hours...... Makes my back happy.
G'day Pineapple ,Hey Aussie question…
Do you think the heat affects the summer yield? I seem to yield so much more in winter.
Oh and fun-cee on the trimmer (say fun-cee out loud it’s like posh talk fancy)
Yeah mate, the heat means more stretch, they drink more and lower yields at harvest, but I was just seeing how early I could start. Cheeky...hehe.
Root temps are the most important. In hotter weather... as long as the root ball is wet and cool, you will be amazed what temps they can actually handle up top, l don't trim the lower fan leaves out in hot conditions, just to shade the Coco and keep root temps down.
In my opinion Week 6 until harvest is the most critical time. That's when high temps are a definate No No.
I'm a week and a half from Week 6, by then the temps should settle down and might see some decent buds from them.....fingers crossed.
