Update time......

Have tipped the 3 mother plants to keep them short and bushy, going real well considering the heat......before...

After......

The 5 Mangolicious are also coming good.....

Clone/Mother tent shit......

Lights are further away because of the heat.

Now onto Flower tent #1, 12 days into flower and starting to get flowering tips.
I have used Pinch and Bend (LST) to try and get a more even canopy height, real easy to do and works a treat .......

Onto Flower tent #2, 3 days into flower and starting to bulk up.....

That's about it for now, battling heat but going strong.

Lol. Sometimes I wish they would repot themselves....
If I didn't get at least 2oz per plant dried I would be very disappointed, that is conservative.
I threw them into 12/12 early so I can keep the temps down.
Even 18/6 will bring the temps up over 30C.
So I run them at night, 12/12 and that keeps me around 25-28C at lights on.
They will stretch in early flower , so should end up 3 times that size.
We will call that Tent #2.

Vegged right up like the Tent #1 they are good for 4-5oz per plant, maybe a tad more.
The CMH 315w set up seem to like shorter plants, they have good penetration...but the shorter plants get more light lower.

I have more globes/shades and ballasts and if the temps drop enough during mid flower I may smash them with 630w per tent, just see what happens.
I work around the environment and what the plants can handle.
At the moment the whole set up including fans etc is less than 800w, so it's cheap to run, but will put out enough for me to smoke some high grade and do a lil squishing.....I love my Rosin.
I still have my cheapo heated Rosin press, can't wait to use it again.

I also put together a new vape rig, an Xvape Aria with a Ten slot Perc......

Does dry herb and concentrates, just a cheap rig, but heaps good enough for me.
Been dying to try it out but no weed, so just have to look at it and dream.....

Doing it all in 30C+ heat, the extra length between nodes sucks from the heat, but besides that , I'm super happy with them.

Decided to clean up my bench and now have a designated squishing and vape/smoking area.....

Made from Solid Jarrah (Australian Hardwood) with holes for the bits and pieces....

Came up alright,....end result, a better organised area.....

Oh, and the only chart I ever use, might be handy for others.....

That has all you need to know about nutrient availability at differing PH.

Unfortunately no weed....it won't grow fast enough.lol...I tried 'Shazam!'..... didn't work, just wishful thinking.

Ok...Update time....

Mums are doing well after tipping them.....

The stubborn Mangolicious continue to grow, but very slowly.....

Now onto the flower tents.

Tent #1, 15 days into flower, stretch was off the charts due to heat issues, but controlled with the LST and should do well, almost time to get rid of some lower fan leaves......

Gave them a feed and redid some LST branches.

Tent #2 , 5 days into flower. Some were worried I flipped too early, but as you can see they are beefing up nicely, by end of stretch they should be twice this size.....

And just an overhead pic....because I think it looks cool....

That's pretty much all there is to report right now. Love growing, makes me happy.

Where I come from to top someone is what they would call ' Rub them out ' which to us, is like tossing off your mate.....lol.

Hope so.....running out of height in Flower Tent #1. That's why I prefer, not SOG but something in-between SOG and those bigger plants in 9gallon pots. Soo much easier to manage 2 gallon pots with a stuffed back.

9 plants in a 4' X 4' tent seems to be the sweet spot.

Temps are getting cooler now, so by the time it's a problem it won't matter. The reflector I use is a special (Low bay) vented one, I can run them almost at the very top of the tent....

They attach using magnets.....like these.....

Onto an interchangeable frame.....like this.....

I also have focal (or High bay)reflectors which are better in cooler weather......

As you can see, there is a big difference.....

Both for different applications.

Specs, this is how you calculate what area you can cover and light intensity......

This is for a 315W CMH.

Yeah it's good when companies supply proper specs, then you can see what difference it makes.
When it cools down in Flower, I will punch 630w with 2 of the broad reflectors into Tent #1 with the larger girls so I can raise them to the tent roof. That should pump the buds in late flower, around Week 5/6 from 10 weeks total.

And when Tent #2 is at 5/6 weeks, because I have heaps more room , I can use 2 focal reflectors to pump them at 630w to Week 10.
Mmmmm....can taste those buds now.....drool...

UPDATE !!!!!!!!

Ok, Mothers are all going great, tipped them and gave them a trim......

The Mango lil uns are still stunted, think it was too strong on the nutes, will flush them and give them something a bit weaker nutrient wise......

All happy in the Veg tent.....

Now we will start with the Girls in Flower in Tent #2 , 12 days since flip and stretched and showing flowers......

The triple throwing Pineapple Express is still throwing triples up the main stem, but nowhere else.......

Tent #2 , all spaced out and watered.......

Just some pics, Veg tent is doing well, the Mangoes are responding well to a flush and a weaker feed..... Babies.....lol....

The Mothers are just kicking it........

Flower tent is on Day 23, next week they get the Bud XL....then they will pump.......

Mmmmm.....buds......

Tent #2 is starting to flower up nice, on Day 13.....

It's been quite warm here.....31.4C in the tent, but they are well watered and the light has been raised up.......

Got myself a little doodad , going to try it out at harvest time, if it saves my back from heaps of scissor trimming, then it's worth every cent.

Apparently the buds go in here.....

Then the shiny lil blades under the grill tear the buds a new one......

And the trim sits in the massive dog bowl.

Should get done in a few hours what takes me days of hand trimming.

Hot as buggery here so just getting the plants through the best I can.

@Grand Daddy Black has used one of those (or similar) for awhile now...
Does a good job, and saves a bunch of time in the process..
I'd get one if I grew more plants, but it's hard to justify the expense at only 3 (or 4) plants per year...

Do you think the heat affects the summer yield? I seem to yield so much more in winter.
