Lost In The Fog

Plants look great! PGR recommended the inFlux so I'm going to investigate those, though I don't have anything close to the expertise to be able to compare specs on anything o_O.

Dam citric acid. It takes much to reach the threshold but then it goes down like a stone.
Another thing I know nothing about is chemistry, but I found that how powerful my pH Down is seems directly related to the TDS number of the water it's going into. I mean that if I put ½ tsp in 7.4 tap water it might go down under 6.0, but if I add the same amount to tap water and 600 TDS of nutes, it might only move it to 6.5. Couldn't tell you why but it seems that way when I mix.

Got the pH down to 6.8 now. Dam citric acid. It takes much to reach the threshold but then it goes down like a stone. Had to add some sodium carbonate to get it up again. :)

Been fiddling in Gimp this afternoon for some nice tags for the plants.

I go strait from beginning to a PH around ~6, I read a lot about it that a PH from 5.8-6.2 is perfect?! Am I wrong?

This chart shows up a lot and I find it helpful for hydro/coco (left) and soil (right):

Yeah PGR have the numbers down on this, he is an expert on those Samsung chips. I'm going with them as well. Don't know when I will order but I would really like them sooon. :)

Yes the TDS number is very relevant in solving chems in the water, even temperature have a big difference of how certain chemicals mix in. Different initial pH can also "solve out" certain chemicals that's already in the water. Before we switched to a bigger surface water lake at work we had huge problems every autumn and spring with Amalgam solving out. Due to rainwater from forests and agriculture bringing the pH down and solving it out.... o_O

Now we hardly have to do a thing with the new water... :)

You are in the neighborhood, look at sheds chart. Hes got it down to an art. ;)

Don't dig in it to hard yet. Keep it safe for start, you are going to succeed I know it!

That's a great chart! Thx.

When you add your nutes, some of the nutrients are acting as buffers, like calcium, and so that can be affecting why it doesn’t drop as low as with plain water.

Now I ordered a PH meter from amazon :D because the drip test I have is quite hard to tell if the color u get really is the color u need - and it's harder when the water is not clear because of the booster :D

And thanks for so much trust :D

That's a great chart! Thx.

Yeah, thx a lot for it!

Found this:
The H inFlux uses the LM301B, Samsung’s mid-power LED with the industry’s highest light efficacy.

Also found a shop who sells 21 of the LM301B on a own produced pcb for 5,90€ each  that's almost stollen :D

Lumen max.: 1512lm
3500k
Voltage max.: 8,7V
Current: 1000mA

Edit:

This is also interessting :D Samsung LM561C Strip Build: Finishing Touches - LED Gardener

Looked at them - nice :) would also be nice to get these led's without pcb, so I might could make my own ;) Do u know where to find?

Haha, you are more crazy than me Teleon. Try finding some one at the Samsung led factory. :)

Yeah, was that a German site right? Stumbled on one today when googling. Tried at a uk site first but they didn't accept orders outside uk... bastards.

I think you could make these kits and sell them on ebay. So easy with these strips.

Everybody should be a bit crazy :D Otherwise nothing new will appear ;)

It was - they should also send to sweden I think?

I guess so. But sometimes you got to stop and think it over. WTF am I doing. :)

They sure would. You Germans are very willing to make deals. Those Brits just want their brexit. I didn't find those strips there. They had just small ones and very large Qb style boards and none fit my driver as good as these inFlux ones. Now I can parallel wire them two by two and the two pair in series to match my 48V driver. There is a little shortage of Amps but I don't care if they are like 10-5% dimmed.

If I had more time I would do something like that ^^ then u really know what u got ;)

Seems hard to find a good seller in europe at all
