Lost In The Fog

So, you found yourself again!..
Time to grab a hold of your life :hugs:
You can do this :circle-of-love:

You are so wise AngryBird.

I do tend to get caught up in my projects. But I'm not finished yet. :)

But now I got to focus my energy on my doctors appointment next week. Hen is going to evaluate my disabilities for the insurance both my private and social. I hope I can get like 25-40% disability that would mean a lot to me both financially and a rest for my mind.

Put some insulation between the radiator and the sides of the acrylic box. This constrains the air flow trough the radiator, hope it does some improvement on the temps. Going to test another heat sink on the Peltier to see if there is any difference in them and how it affects the system temp.

Pics coming...

Have a good weekend folks! And keep it green! :ganjamon:

:passitleft:

First major disaster avoided with Poseidon. Lights come on at 6 pm. Laying having a nap, went with the dog and then put my head in the grow room. It was awfully quiet. No pump, no psu humming. Just the lights on and the extractor fan. SHIIIIT the lights had been on for over an hour with NO cooling. Opened the tent and the coolant was dripping from one of the lights.... f-ck. But lucky me I made three cooling blocks. It was son swapped for a hole. Now it's humming again. No idea why the psu hadn't kicked on with the timer.

At first it looked like the block was leaking in one of the epoxy welds, but I soon realized that it was in the threading against one of the pushin hose connectors the acrylic had shattered. Don't know how hot it had been but my guess pretty darn hot. Must have been some expansion with the heat that made it. Tomorrow I'm moutning a 12V relay on the power to the lights. If the psu aint working, no power to the lights.

I had a pretty good day otherwise...... crazy...o_O

Good save! Great timing!
Yeah wish I had been there from start but better late than never, right.

Love the new avatar!
Thx, Poseidon in yellow and blue. Swedish colors. :)

Hope the doctor's appointment goes well!
The hard part is to explain how the Swedish welfare sick insurance work....... She is from Bosnia. Her best expression is "What I'm going to do with you...."

Exclamation marks were on sale!
At the Zoo or pet store/shop? ;)

The pet store! Never any sales at the zoo here! That's a good thing or my house would be overrun with cute animals!

 I guess you are lucky then Shed. This home would have most certainly overrun with animals too. I don't know how many dogs/cats/fish I have said no to under these years we have been a couple.

It's very fun with words. I often think of words English/American that have the same name but different meaning in which context they are used. Can't think of one right now but I know there are Swedish words like that too but It feels like English got more of them.

Been checking on Poseidon like a hawk now. He is performing very well with the new insulation of the radiator, system temp is down 3-4C thanks to this. What small things can do... Tomorrow I will try with a different heat sink on the Peltier. Then I can squeeze everything inside the acrylic box and hopefully run the air from the tent through the box.

I may have missed it, but what's the reason for running the tent air through the acrylic box?

Both the Peltier and the radiator gets hot and needs venting. Keeping the fan sound down is another crucial thing, the space which the tent is in is located 2m from my front door in the apartment. Now I have two hoses to my extractor fan from the grow. One from the tent and one from Poseidon. The air inside the tent is much cooler than the air in the room, because I take air from my hallway in through the tent. If I take the air from the tent to vent Poseidon I get 3C cooler than from the room and maybe can turn down the fan another notch which results in less noise.... I don't know if this makes any sense to you. I hardly can make it out myself.

Hey ;)

Crazy, I think u should not use the Peltier element - as I said before, get a big radiator, then u also have no extra energy costs for the peltier ;)

What also should be good in terms of heat - a big reservoir - more water u have, more time it needs to warm everything - and the flow of ur pump is also high, so that would help to get better cooling results without the need of these peltier ;)

Also consider about making 1 big cooler for all the LED's with some proper channels and flow system (in and out) - that would increase the cooling alot more ^^
