Lost In The Fog

Ok, first test run with both the new rig and the big ass pump. My vision of the white 10mm pipe to be tight with the push on connectors was a bust. But I suspected it. It should have been to good to be true. Manage to fit in a short hose on all the connections and tried again. Success! But I think the pump is to big for the small water res, used the cylindrical from the smaller pump. It created a vortex from the surface of the res and sucked air. Plus the kompressor seal was leaking, old and cracked. Will giv it a go tomorrow with the small pump.
 
Today another test day. Hooked up the small pump and the valves. Got it running without any leaks. Going to let this test run for 12h today. Next step is to introduce the peltier cooler to the system, then lights. Working on how to place everything. Thinking of building a box in acrylic round the pump and peltier cooler and extract the air from the tent through this box along with the heat buildup from the peltiers.

Don't try to replicate this system if don't know what you are doing. Water is a great electric conductor and can cause injuries and even death if not treated with respect! Always use earth breaker protected systems when dealing with mains.

We grew up on viking stories up here :)



If you're into vikings, the Icelandic sagas are a must read, but it's a pretty dire work to plow through.

The Swedish novel called ''The Long Ships'' (Röde Orm) is a very good read and based on the sagas ;)

It would sure be fun! I just hope everything with my ex moving goes smooth and soon. We still live together and sparks fly everyday here. We got the valuation on the apartment done this Friday. So now it's off to the bank to get her off my back.

Yeah, this is the land of all minorities. Sweden the rainbow land. It feels like they listen more to them than the maddening crowds... But tomorrow Stefan Löven will be out of the government! :)
 
I am kind of lost here.... But I hope the best with the water cooling. I see afew different peoples on U-tube doing water cooled LED light ideas....... But sounds like you have a working model GL and Keepem Green

Been lost but i enjoy the tinkering/dumpster diving aspects. This coming from the guy that thought Lost In The Fog was just a quote for months lol. Hence the hidden link lmao

Yes the water is pumped around now anyway. Now I just need to introduce some heat and cooling effects. Need to make it a little more portable too. Think it's still kinda fragile still. Would like to make it enclosed in aluminium but it's good to be able to see whats happening also.

I still feel kinda lost in the fog of all my ideas.... :)
 
Fast question??? How much are the lights you plan on putting under? this? They might not like a leak up top? I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. It's all a learning thing. Who knows,, you get it dialed in and made as easy as possible,, you might even market it... I'm really not familiar with LEDs much but these ones I'm playing with,,, put out their share.. Not as much as the HID lights,, but still could be a factor in a tent. GL and Keepem Green

Yo! I welcome all questions. I hope I can answer them... :)

I have made three cooling blocks, each one will have a Chilled Logic 100 puck/board mounted underneath. They are aprox 100W each. Ran in to problems when growing with these under the warm summer months, so my hope is to get ambient room temp inside my grow tent with this cooling system without replicating a full blown hurricane storm inside the tent.
 
F-ck.... I have been ripped over by the Chines... Started one of the peltier and had a amp meter hooked up. It shows only 4 amps?! It's suppose to be over 10... So I paid for 120W peltiers and got 50Ws..... :(
