Lost In The Fog

Ya I would think the Alcohol would eat away at the epoxy, and at what point does it ignite :hmmmm:.

FAAAR more easy than water I guess... :) But heard of oils that's non electric conductive so that would be nice if any leaks would develop but I don't know if it has good heat conduct. It's probably not so healthy for the plants either. Think the drivers and my EB would take care of the logic's IF anything goes wrong with this.

SOOO steamed for a test run tomorrow. :))

I'm interested to see it all working, because honestly I've had not idea what you're doing this whole time so all new territory lol.

I'm also interested to se this up and running and I haven't cleared every issue yet with pump or all fittings for it... It's understandable KB, I have issues on how to write everything in English also... half the time I don't even understand myself. Just lost in the fog.... ;)

It's not from your explanation, just my lack of knowledge of this field. I've always kept away from electricty or this type of tinkering. Got shocked as a kid and figured out I didn't like that very much

Haha, I still get shocked on regular basis. You never know what a thing can do until you test it. As a kid a was quite scared to do new things but when I got a little older something changed and until my accident plowing snow I always threw my self in to new stuff.... But tinkering is all I got left now. This projekt really pushed my limit to what I can do with my body now days. When cutting the brass sheets with the jigsaw my hole body was shaking from the pain just holding the metall against the workbench....

That's where that good indica comes in after a hard work day.

Yeah. Tomorrow I will definitely need that. Today it's not been my day. Tried to fix my car, changing the fuel pump on the volvo xc70 is no easy task no more. Thought it was the hatch under the backseat but the right one was under the backrest so you have to dismantle the hole backrest with airbags and shit. No job for my neck.... Got home and rested and got to the cooling block. Found out that the 1/4 threading is the same as on my pc cooling blocks and fitted right on. But missed one joint on the pump to get it working.... bummer. So tomorrow I will try getting it so I can test the block for leaks before I try to make two more blocks.

Finally macgyverd the pump with fittings and adapters. Beta test is rolling, no leaks on the block yet. The pump is leaking but I knew it was old and it's probably dried up. With this successful beta test of the block I will put the other two together. Next step is to construct the heat exchange block for the Peltier elements. It would be great to put together a regulator for the Peltiers.... :)

Manage to find some fittings and made this coupling with pipe fittings. It sure looks better than hoses and it's sturdy enough to use this to hang the three blocks in the tent. Just make the pipes as long as they need to be apart from each other.

It's nice to know that everything in this build is still discarded shit from dumpsters or at work... :)

Do those connections crimp with a brass ferrel ring & nut?

U bet!

If you have any leak issues at that connection, you could always swap them up to a female adapter to pex connector at the threads and use pex pipe for the whole deal. It's def strong/rigid enough to hold up.

I see the thought process unfolding as you build this & I get it! You're gonna kill it bud!

Just my input as a plumber, the most leaks I fix are at connections made with ferrels/nuts. But... these are generally in 60+ year old homes. I doubt they will give you trouble in this application though.

Yeah it's always hard to sketch up things or just try to explain how u think.

I've noticed they often leak from there to. We have some aggressive environments at work were those kind of leaks develop.

Never thought of using pex... don't have more of than a pipe. :) The purpose of my choice is the ball valves I wanted a small ball valve. My first thought was to use plastic connections and pipe called +GF+, Georg Fischer. We use them to all dosage at work but the ball valves they got is huge compared to ballofix I use now.
