Looking For Tester Of ViparSpectra P4000

That is one weird ass looking plant. Did you reveg it or something? Very interesting. What seed company if it's a sponsor?

I'm in the contest for their current light! I'd love to check that out. I researched it very thoroughly and in my humble opinion, without seeing it, it's ViparSpectra's best light by far. The spectrum is super solid, the footprint compares favorably with lights that are much more expensive, it has the requisite LEDs and drivers you really want to have, and it has a great dimmer. Full spectrum bar light, and again imho bar lights are where it's at for LEDs. I find it amazing they can put this light out at the price they want for it, it's great. I would even buy a new 4x4 to try it if I won, rather than use it in my 5x5, cuz it's designed for a 4x4 and I'd want to test it properly as it was intended. I'm with you all the way man. You are one of many who speak very favorably about the I would really like a chance at the light to try as well but understand

I wouldn’t mind a chance at the light as well but understand there’s others more in need, and enjoy conversation on the topic. It’s honestly hard to find anything bad to say about the company, quality built stuff, cheap prices, good customer support and communication. Hell, those 4 panels have been going for about 6 years without a break, they’re always growing, and always producing decent yields even with a few burnt out diodes. Just hauled 52 grams from a Girl Scout cookie plant from under one of them. My only complaint is heat coming from the lights and no way to vent it out of the room like the vented HPS/MH lights, other than that, solid lights for sure

I ended up topping the plant about 7-8 times and after the 6th time it started freaking out and started growing like it was 2 plants.. Have come across dozens and dozens of extremely weird mutants over the last 12 years. Non sponsored company soo not going to list the name, however it was a difficult strain to germinate, almost all the seeds took over 14 days to germinate, and of the seeds I got from harvesting the strain, I have not been able to get any of those to germinate. It has still to this date been my best harvest but I believe it had more to do with the strong genetics of the JH rather than the breeder. That single plant was over a pound, and the other 6 totaled roughly 2 pounds, all under 4 viparspectra V600’s, which actual draw on that model light is 315 watts X 4 lights = 1260 watts actual draw with a yield of 3 pounds, brings out to just over 1 gram per watt, for an led 5 years ago, is pretty damn impressive.
Wow. Impressive is an understatement. Thanks for the info. Yup, wattage and yield are directly proportional. Regardless of any other variables. This is never not true.

Absolutely brotha, knowledge is money. And that’s it, everything eventually boils down to physical draw from the wall, spectrums will play rolls on terpene profiles and overall quality of the bud but actual draw is where you build the weight.. HEY, @ViparSpectra, you guys should consider incorporating a way to connect an exhaust fan to the lights soo theyre vented rigs

First two plants are the outdoor clones of the purple strain i posted earlier, The last small plant pictured with the weird bud structure that almost looks seeded even though it isn't was planted right before i forced flower outdoors about 1.5 months ago. All have around 4 weeks left in the cycle and went through some horrible weather this summer which did stress them more than any previous years plants but i believe they have bounced back for the most part. Hoping things purple up nicely again over the next couple weeks. #ViparSpectraP4000

I've always used viparspectra lights, from my old trusty v300s and now use p600s in other tent
Here's the start of my photo grow

Yup. I have a couple buddies who think I'm nuts for putting two 1200 watt blurples (leftover from my first grow when I knew nothing about light) on one plant. Lol. The real draw on these "1200 watt" blurples is 286. Lmao. So with two I'm north of 550. Not to 600+, but for one auto at a time it's plenty. I made a dedicated one at a time auto rig from an old piece of crappy furniture and my blurples. It works real well, if you wanna check it it's in my journal. I used the same blurples for an entire 5x5 on my first grow to power 6 plants, and all I yielded was 10 1/2 ounces of useful bud. Well even on my first grow I knew that sucked. So I went to school and studied the shit out of LEDs. Now I know just enough to be dangerous. Lol.

Hi,
Could you please show us more detail about this design?

The basic idea would look like what @Braddah Waiheesohai posted, I’m no engineer but I feel it would be easy in the design stage to make a thick heat sink stick up between the drivers and have the drivers and heat sink all in the air chamber soo it can be removed from the growing area. I know personally with my (4) old v600’s my 5’x6’ flower tent can easily see temps of 110-120 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer when ambient temp outside is 90, I’m not sure how the new setups are on heat production but any heat is heat added that needs to be managed wether it be air conditioning, or air exchange, but pulling the heat directly from the light would be the absolute most efficient way to manage it, and energy saved from cooling could always go towards more light :lot-o-toke::lot-o-toke:
I think he's asking for a quantum board with a vented hood, like these ones for HPS lights but with an incorporated quantum board and drivers.
