LMAO Cloning For Dummies

SO do clone's leaves grow or does the new growth just take over and the original fans die off??

Cool...not sure what it looks like when you reply on here but mine has a lil + with a circle around it...I hit that then brings up a page where you can hit buttons on the bottom to take pic or upload it

All my clones leaves start looking like crap once they start trying to root them while they are rooting the leaves look worse then new growth starts and old leaves die off..but I clone different and most my cuttings are smaller than others

With the clones I've taken the original leaves (depending on your method) will show very little yellowing or a lot of yellowing. That doesn't get better as the cuttings take root. If healthy all the new leaves post rooting will be green. I have to admit that if a clone is growing with lots of vigor and putting out lots of new foliage I'll snip off the yellowing leaves.

The plant in the back left of this photo...........it's not a male is it? Pretty tall and scrawny. The photo is not large enough or close-up enough to see for sure.

SO here's some shots. I'm wondering where the new growth will come from.

And the tips hardening off is a good sign correct? They weren't like that the first week. I'm assuming b.c the cutting didn't have the strength and was likely confused by the change of environment...

All new growth will be at the top ...will grow like a Christmas tree unless you top it or train it
Thanks JW cause this is my buddy In the shed' s gold leaf clone seems to be growing from multiple spots...

Your clones look fantastic. Very healthy. Once rooted a clone is nothing more then a plant. The new growth will come from all the same places they did on the mother plant. Obviously at the top of the plant. But also new branches will start to form at nodes lower on the plant.

I am not a plant expert nor do I play one here on 420 magazine. I do not and will not share information I do not believe to be 100% accurate. Never take the word of just one person when trying to make an important decision about your plants.

Once the cutting roots and becomes a clone the plant "toughens" up quite a bit. It can live outside a dome without wilting. Once they have put down roots the stem has more spring to it (kind of weak when newly cut) and I imagine that would pertain to the leaves as well.

Sweet! I think skunk said their cuts are much smaller so there may not be any lower areas to grow from.... I just keep thinking oh there rooted or rooting and cause I don't check for growth often. I just assume she's finally getting close now! I'll check. Ok I took this cut Oct. 26 so I'm thinking this is her week!!!! Need to preserve those awesome genetics her mom displays!

Well Big learning curve on the coco situation lol...wasn't paying attention and got the dust EVERYWHERE... my girl was helping me break it up now she's dusting the house lol we didn't know but I looked up different ways of doing all this so next time I know
