How many clones did you kill before you started to have success I can't remember if it was something like three and now cloning for you is necessarily easy 10 clones taken 0 dead 7 rooted three to go

themaddabber cloning is super easy you will have no issue you can do it with just a cup of water takes a little longer but it cost a lot less you can make a dome out of 2 liter bottles so they don't go to the dump taking clones is so simple I won't even tell you how to do it I'll leave it to skunk or somebody else

I haven't lost any yet...if I can do it with almost no supplies and low tech equipment then anyone can

Maddabber I can tell u how I've done it but it takes 2-3 weeks but I have well water and no humidity so might be quicker for others...it's how imhigh told me to do it just with my twist and materials I had on hand

Does it matter how tall the cutting is? I know the lower ones are better to take but the ones I've taken are rather short...well u can see in the pic

I've cloned a ton before great success rate! I used the rock wool and starter pods at a near 100% rate with a dome and stuff but that was years ago.

I also had mold issues but those were all very easily solved with h2o2.

I made a dome for free this time

2 tea jugs and a Pyrex baking container. I'm going to try and get them to root in 100% coco.

Not even sure if I'll use my Jimmy rigged deal I may just mist but clones are easier than most ppl make them out to be imo

Okay there are different clones types in this situation you have the Clones that you are taking you have special clones and you have advanced clones the regular clones or just the first cutting you take which is simple the special cuttings are when you're going and picking out a specific branch like a y or something to that nature that would Supply you with a bigger faster plant with more bud checking in advance clone is what you are talking about this makes it easier if you understand it before doing it when you take a small clone it has a small amount of energy stored in it that it uses to get itself rooted when taking an advance clone or a special cologne you are increasing the size which means this has a lot more energy not always but most of the time a larger clone will root faster than a smaller one because it has enough extra energy that it can expend some more than the other so yes taking a bigger clone is easy nothing changes what makes it hard for people is when they've not done cloning at all and they want to take a big clone well when you lose a big clone you lose a big chunk of your plant but as you know I like to take advance clones

Yeah that's why I made this thread people made cloning so complicated so I had to take them back to what my grandma taught me old school my favorite trick for cloning is taking a full-fledged branch holding it over my bucket and just chopping it in the three or four pieces even with both open ends I will make them root

See it's not that it's hard it's that it's scary once you're confident with your cloning you'll have no issue doing it

No she's still a little pissed and does not want me at home but once you're confident in your cloning you can take bigger clones at anytime but taking bigger clone they root faster and they grow faster remember this when you're looking at your space

Look good I'm high! Just a little bit of wisdom I inherited also...

The top branches taken for clones often have more flowering hormones and the lower have more rooting hormones. Idk what that means really or how to interpret it but it's true. So I think that's god and nature's way of compensating for when a bunch of earth washes over the plant. Regardless any well lit actively prospering branch is a candidate imo!

The easiest way to explain it is the hormones in the plant work the same way as the plant itself the plant during flowering has three different types of leaves to do different things you have fan leaves which are the main energy source then you have the little medium-size leaves that are all over your regular branches these are used for storing energy the little tiny leaves that come out of the bud are the sugar leaves and you know why they're called the sugar leaves but the point is the same thing that I was trying to say earlier but it's been debated forever do plants really think? And if so how? I believe plants think more than we believed what about you guys

I leave my leafs untill they fall off. Even if they are half dead. All those leafs will pump energy to the buds. I agree with imhigh if she didn't need them they wouldn't of grew.
