Okay I can answer this real quick for you and I hope this makes sense the light to the plant is no different than the sun to your skin you can only take it's being so bright outside before you burn but the easiest way to explain this to you is my best friend and me are only 28 days apart I do not burn at all no matter how bright the light is or how hot it gets outside no matter how long I stay in the sun I do not burn my buddy is a redhead so he burns very quickly and easily the reason for this being is your body actually produces its own type of suntan lotion your body secretes and oil which actually keeps you protected from the Sun but depending on the person depends on how much suntan lotion your body is actually going to make this goes the same for the plants this is the reason you see some plants with berry silky shiny leaves and then you see others with very Bland rough leaves please let me know if this don't make sense

Okay I keep getting the same question over and over not just from people on here but people in person we all know I left New Mexico now I am training a guy to run my greenhouses that never has tried to grow a plant I chose this guy for the fact that he has no prior experience in any kind of plants which means I do not have to break any bad habits of his but here we come down to the actual question

With the experience that you guys have gained in the time that you have started and knowing what I do for a living how long would it take you to feel safe leaving your entire crop in somebody else's hands?

Apparently people expected me to be done in a month or two but I have to teach this guy everything that I know which can be a four or five-year process by time I am ready to leave I want him to have a master grower certification does anybody else feel this is too much? I don't but it seems like people think that I should not have to train him for this long

When you get a chance send me a private message MerryAnna yeah this Thrift kind of grows a lot but that's because I am quick on coming back with the answer that people need it's nice to see you again you keep disappearing on me
Sorry, bud, this is what i get up to when i disappear:

It's an ass load of work. Will pm you in a minute or 2, almost finished reading

Depends on how quick the person is to retain and understand the information your trying to teach him. I've only done about a years worth of growing but usually one grow a year. But my product is matching the master grower teaching me. So depends on the person ya know?

Yea I've always said weed is a weed it will grow but there are scientific methods to it and math and all that...it is hard to get it right hopefully after a few rounds I can know exactly what to do and not worry so much...I would grow outside but even during summer here it's unpredictable and we can have daylight 24/7...people are doing it I just don't get how...if I can't get it dialed in this time I might have to save up for led even tho I've heard they can still get burnt with them as well idk just so much in my head

Tx, i actually get it! Now i feel like an a-hole, cause it's pretty freaking obvious. Natural uv defense etc. ✌

On Monday my protege goes to take his Horticulture test after this he still has to get two more certifications I have given him a copy of the pretest and he passed it with flying colors he still has never done at Harvest drying or curing he walked around with a book to write everything down he's more eager than I was when I got started but I still have trust issues leaving people with that much plants people growing have one problem when you are growing it's kind of hard to have any real friends because you can't let anyone find out what you're doing even your friends the only way a secret is safe it's when no one knows it so it gets to a point where it looks kind of like this you friends can't come over to your house they can't know what you do for a living they can't know where you're working because all this leaves a liability of being broken into it is a very very lonely lifestyle as I have learned when he took this job I explain to him I don't even want his wife knowing what kind of work he's doing all she knows is that he works in a greenhouse and does Landscaping and that's all she needs to know because people talk a little too much so I ask you again how long would it take you to leave your crop in the hands of another person?

I grow outside. Did a grow over the winter, the biggest girl i had was 2,5' tall. Now, early summer, my 6 week olds are that size, a good few are 5'+. The biggest difference? Heat. (The weather has been really weird, 60-104°F, stormy, windy, baking hot, hail, torrential rain... Macbeth-witches weird)
If you think about it, the traditional hash regions & big producers of good bud are all pretty warm... then there's genetics. You can't grow a Thai sativa & a Russian autoflower exactly the same & expect the good results. If it's bred from plants that come from a hot place, it'll probably need more heat. It's just common sense.
But yeah, they like it better when it's warmer, even if only for a few days.

I had always heard that a strain, after a few years, will acclimate itself to the environment in which it is asked to grow. I remember back in the 70s I was friends with a man who grew in his tomato garden. One year he got a dozen seeds from a bag of Hawaiian Gold. The first year he grew 5 seeds. Three ended as females and two males. He took one male and one female to his brothers and put them next to each other out in his back yard. He killed the other male and let the two females grow out. The product from the two females was good. Like a 6 on a scale from 1 to 10. The following year he planted 10 of the new seeds from his pollination. He again pulled one male and one female and took them to his brothers. He grew out 4 females. The product was very good. Much improved from the previous year. Probably a 7.5 out of 10. The next year, with the new seeds the product was fantastic with a smooth taste and super potent. An 8.5 on the 1-10 scale. He did pretty much everything the same each year and attributed the increase in quality to acclimation to the soil, humidity, sun strength. It would seem to make sense to me.

1. I don't trust my own mother with my crop. To be fair, she's getting a bit older & more forgetful, so i'm just scared she'll forget to water, or overfeed, or chop the girls & keep the males. But yeah, i would trust you look after my grow for a couple of weeks, then i'd want back in.
2. How does this guy you're training feel? Does he live & breathe weed, spend all his free time on learning more about it, love it like we all do? If yes, then i say go for it, teach him to be a master.grower. if it's just something he's doing to get some $$$, maybe don't waste your time. Does this help? I've been laying into the durban poison, feeling rather floaty...

What your friend was seeing in the plant is not the plant activating to his surroundings the easiest way to explain what was going on there is to explain it the same way I do it my white Bubba is one I bred my cell but every time I run it it gets better I'm not changing the seeds I'm not changing the Clones the reason that the plants keep continue to get better when you are running the same plant you are actually fine-tuning what you already know about that plant less mistakes and more added knowledge will always make a better product

No you still need to watch your PPM and TDS you just do not need to be doing it during runoff as long as you can get the TDS in your water during flushing is best distilled water works great for this well water contains a lot of minerals so does groundwater but the amount of nutrients are minimal and will not make much of a difference but because you are in soil is the reason I suggested for you to run it for 10 days at least then the last 3-4 days just don't give her anything at all this will cause her to lose a lot of her water weight make you a drain a lot easier plus she will start to pick up a little more resin due to the stress

One of the plants I harvested I had not watered or fed for 9 days. The day I cut it down the leaves were all basically hanging limp. The buds I think had sucked all the moisture out of the stems and leaves. The buds dried quickly.

The guy I am training now he has absolutely no interest in smoking has never smoked and does not plan on it the way I picked him up was he put an ad in the paper asking for someone to give him a job because he had a family to support he would take any job that was given I gave him a job I moved him from Florida to Ohio and he knows it's going to be a long process but I have not told him that it's going to be 4 or 5 years before he will run that shot by himself but on the other hand he doesn't even know that he's headed for running the store by himself he shows more interest and learning this stuff then some of the people on the 420 website do he will go home and research things and come back and have questions for me in the morning sometimes questions that I have to actually think about

And yes this helps a lot because I can get another point of view other than my own it's kind of hard to argue with myself

Yea I trust nobody!!!!! I've been fuc*** over so many times i could care less about friends...keep enemies close and friends and family closer I say...I would find it very hard to leave it with anyone or I'd have very good security cameras I could watch whenever I wanted even then idk

I have an HID security system takes a magnetic Strip Card to get in and every time you use it it takes a picture log the time and day of access

I'm not a smoker to be honest...quit 12 yrs ago...I miss it and all...it's a hobby now it's the only way to make me think about other shit besides everyday shit...I'm always researching parts and cars and repairs and blah blah blah but it's nice to research something different

It would appear that your mother plant under the new light is a redhead!!!

Man, you don't have to be a smoker to love weed. I LOVE growing it. I love smoking it, too, but i really just love.growing it. I've got people who use my extra fan leaves as tea, fresh in warm water it doesn't get you high for sh#@, but they swear by it. So, if he actually cares & is interested & has bright questions, go for it. At least you know he won't smoke half the harvest.
