LKABudMan Grows In Soil: White Widow, Hindu Kush, & Purple Haze Fem Photos, FFHF Soil, Sponsored By Prescription Blend

Good afternoon my friend @LKABudMan hope you are having a good day.
Garden looks fantastic.
I apologize for my late reply to your question my friend. :Namaste:
She is getting close but hasn't finished flowering and building quite yet.
Her pistols are just starting to get into range.
They have a bit more color change and swelling to do before she is done.
I'd give her at least a week my friend.
You can't judge by trics alone.
Though the trics are entering the range you would like they will benefit from more time.
Keep up the great work my friend.
Your journal is Awesome. :thumb:

Thanks for your help @Bill284 just a quick clarification: Do you think she will be ready to harvest in a week or so, or ready to start droughting? I'm thinking that if I'm going to drought I should start now in anticipation of her being ready in a week or two. Do you agree? @Krissi1982 I would love to hear your opinion as well.

Thanks for your help guys.

Ok I've never tried the drought technique, disclaimer. ;)
But in my mind I see a benefit to letting her finish building for you before you stress her.
A week of proper nutrition can increase the size in the final stretch significantly.
I would not jeopardize that volume for the benefit from the stress technique.
But please read disclaimer. :p
Let's hear from the master before we make any rash decisions, Krissi ?

I'm looking at your very lovely trichome shots and thinking that I believe if you were to hone more in on the flower you would have more clear...

With that said, I agree with Bill that her pistils are still pretty long. I'd probably wait a week to drought and have those pistils kind of curl in a little first and then you can drought her. She is 39 days flower so is right at around week 6. I'm thinking to go ahead and wait a week to bring her to week 7 then drought. Worst case scenario, if she finishes faster, you give her a bunch of water and she goes straight to trim from drought. I don't see that happening though from the looks of her at this juncture friend

Thanks a lot for your help @Bill284 and for the kind words. I was hoping she would go another week or two ;)

Thanks @Krissi1982 for your help. All of the tric shots were of the bud not leaves (as much as possible). In several you can see the pistils coming out. I was surprised to see her looking that far along at 39 days. Week seven starts on Monday. Do you think I should start her drought then?

The next questions is about the other two. They look like they have a bit more time to go. Should I wait until they are looking closer to start their drought? How do I know when to start the drought with them?

I really appreciate your help with this. I am really looking forward to seeing how droughting affects these girls!

What a great looking grow, Thanks for sharing the progress.
Thanks @VIVOSUN I'm sorry I did not realize you were a sponsor here at 420. When I bought my first tent package I bought the Vivosun 4x4 with the VS4000 light. After purchasing I had second thoughts about the light; everything I read led me to believe that I would need to upgrade the light ASAP. After two grows I have to say I love my VS4000. Both grows have had really dense sticky buds. I'm still looking for a bit more light in the tent ;) However I will keep using my VS4000 even if I do. Thanks for being a sponsor here at 420.

I was too! But my AG this grow went really fast also I pulled her 2 weeks early and she was basically done anyway so that was bizarre but hey, it's the grow life!

I would, yup!

if they are like Indicas say, you can wait til week 8 to drought if they are gonna go the full Indica ride. I really think that right before they finish up is prime time. Lately if I drought to harvest or drought to water and leave just a couple more days rather than a week has been when I've had best results with the process

No problem at all friend and happy to have you check it out for yourself. I'm in no way pushy but I do guarantee that if you try it you will see it. I haven't had one person say they haven't seen improvement and much at that. Sorry I've been slow and will be slow with responses cause I'm trimming back to back to back and have had re arranging and moving of other plants and then home life, you know how it goes!

Thanks a lot @Krissi1982 that helps. Wish i could help with your trimming, especially on your monsters ;) I will plan on starting Betty's drought on Monday. I'm excited to see how it goes. Enjoy you weekend.

Temps have been steady in the basement and the dehumidifier is keeping it in the 40s. It has not been cooling down as much at night, but that will change tonight as it gets down to 18f outside.

They all had a good watering today. They're taking well over 4 liters every other day and are loving it.

I have decided to start droughting Betty next week, starting the seventh week of flower. The other two are still going strong so I will give them another week before droughting. I am hoping for the drought to take up to 11 days, so that should take them right into the harvest window. Right now the @Prescription Blend is keeping them nice and green.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and has something nice rolled for tonight:rollit: :passitleft:

Happy Growing.

I fell a bit behind LKABudman.

Just want you to know that when I look at your plants the word that comes to mind is "flawless." :Rasta:

Oh yeaaaa!!! Right on brother. And my trim days are over til probably Wednesday or Friday at the latest since I think I got one ripening it's last fruits lol wasn't planning on her for 2 weeks but nope pistils are in and trichs say very soon...my fingers hurt! Your vape looks so intricate, I can't say I've used one or seen one in anything but a window or advertisement...looks like it came off of the DeathStar

@Krissi1982 I hear you are taking a little break soon? Hopefully for something fun! I really enjoy the vaporizor. It tastes a LOT better and I don't cough up as much. The worse thing about vaping is the hot dry air can make you cough when you inhale. Going through a small water pipe with warm water adds some humidity and makes it much smoother.

The coughing...I need a press. I have to make capsules....

As for a break. Nothing fun, home inspection lol...

Just for a couple weeks if I don't start up again end of April it will be beginning of May but yea as soon as these autos are done, everything is coming down for a little bit. Makes me sad, I've been rolling back to back to backs since June and not having any babies working now stinks!

@Krissi1982 going through an early 'empty nest' syndrome with your plants? And home inspection doesn't sound fun at all :(

Weekly Temperatures

Other than the heat shutting down on the coldest night in a while everything has been steady. The exhaust fan is doing a great job of keeping the humidity in the high 40s. You can see on the humidity chart where we take them out every two days for watering.

These ladies are really drinking. I am giving them over 5 liters every other day each. I have moved to feed-water-water for a couple of reasons. I fed them every time for a while and I want to make sure the nutrients get flushed out of the soil. Also because I fed them every time for a while I do not have a lot of nutrients left. As long as I keep seeing runoff over 1000ppm after the second watering I will keep this going through the end.

Speaking of the end, it is getting close for all of these ladies. They are starting week 7 of flower and they are looking and smelling like it.

Betty (White Widow) is a little girl compared to the other two. She still has some nice buds on her and the one fasciated bud is huge and heavy. Not really sure what to expect out of that. Either way she is getting close. I really drenched her today and I do not plan on giving her anything else for a while. She is so compact I'm going to have a hard time telling when to end the drought. She will be a good test run for the others.

Jenny (Purple Haze) is still throwing out plenty of big white pistils. Her buds are getting fatter and frostier and they smell incredible. We all find ourselves over smelling Jenny regardless of who we are watering ;)

Abby (Hindu Kush) is still getting fatter. She's drinking more than the other ladies and shows it. The bamboo is doing a good job of supporting the buds, although I wish I would spread them out a bit more. I am really excited to see her keep getting bigger.

I really want these ladies to keep ripening but at the same time I have other girls that are ready for this tent. For right now I am happy just watching the buds getting fatter.

Happy Growing.
