Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

lol, u thought u were going to bed an hour ago, the light is till on:party:

OZ is a plonker :googled: the term plonker started out as a reference to someone who was forever drunk on cheap wine (

lol :rofl::rofl::rofl: but, not the cheap wine part, he likes the kind! single malt, or great wine, id guess!

no offense, mate-ster!:high-five:

Trich like your thinking! Id use a dampened RAW hemp rolling paper to cover a scar if I was that fussy lol.
GF the first pic looks a little odd?? The second is spot on perfect!!
OZ is a plonker and and took to much off when he first fluxed. When the new growth formed he went again!!! :) that's how he almost became two sticks! :)

Nip comments, other yelling at people making nip comments and I didn't even know what they were talking about for about ten minutes, then while outside watering it hit me, OH! Hahaha.

Anyway, the first photo looks weird because I didn't get the photo from above, dead center so it looks weird, but it is exactly like the other cut I made. Later today I'm going to do the same to the Money Maker and Lemon Kush.

Next weekend my Buddhist Lama (teacher), who is in robes fully ordained will be staying over night at our home. I wanted to build my scrog this weekend, but I'll wait till after she leaves. I have so much to do to prepare. It's a very big deal to have a monastic in your home. Everything needs to be very clean, and organized. They don't demand it, but as practitioners, it is just very respectful. So off I go this week to prep. I have to go to Whole Paycheck Market for special jams and honey all organic, with nice breads and interesting crackers, soups, etc. Lots of work for one night...but if you are Buddhist you get it. It's like the Pope coming to your home.

have a great sunshiney day

Yes, very exciting and very nerve wracking! Even Mark is outside raking and straightening. I have to go now and buy a new wireless router. Mine is crapping out after 10 years. It's time. I also actually ordered a cell phone. I don't have one. Well, I do have one, but it is a Tracphone and it is a flip and I've had that for, oh, at least 16 years. It is time for that, too. I hate cell phones, so it's only for emergency and convenience.

Re-post from Budmaster journal:

Hey LA, sorry to be a bother...

Is it just normal flowering time after the vegging, shorter/longer...I could go through your journal and count dates and stuff, but...Im lazy ok, seems too hard at 544, and I'd rather get a feeling for it than base a decision on this particular flux...rather that particular flux... :)

Hey Chap :) This style does add some time onto the flowering stage as well. The amount would be strain depending a bit but I reckon you might add as much as a fortnight. Yet this extra time is well worth it when you get to see you weight at end :)

Ok that's about what I figured thanks light.

Im attempting to set up a palette grow room, palette as the base, build sides etc, hidden in storage. 800x1200(31 1/2 x 47 1/4").

I'll loose a few inches width and length for insulation and light space, but leaves roughly 2 x 4' grow area. Initially the seeds, about 50 will be scrogged, sex and structure determination for fluxing during early growth. This then leaves probably room for two 2' square fluxes, but it aint much room, unless I go one almighty pot....I'd have roughly 4' height, with 2' above for clones/next round seeds, etc.

I hadn't thought of the comparison until just now, but Im wondering if I can set it up so that a direct comparison can be drawn of floor area/yield for fluxing and scrog, using same media, and all other growing conditions.

Oh shhhugar...which thread am I in?

I thought you might say that LA...fluxing yeild, and I'd tend to agree with you.... :)

Thanks for confirmation of space, with a more complex build I can get the full 800x1200 as growing room with insulation and walls and lights beyond that...but it starts to get complex, more cost of materials...this is full DIY budget...so it's finished size that's kinda critical.

So it was the ACTUAL growing room before plants get burnt....oh I didn't mention, there will be side lighting...all 4 sides....moveable and addable for height...it's all 4' fluoro and 2' Fluoro or/LED end lights...um budget....starting to go off target a little... :)

But yes, would be an interesting comparison....

Do you think the side lighting will assist a reduction of stretch and with the correct lighting help maybe thicken or keep more consistantly developed flowers?

Just speculation I know, but you're there, am I'm here, so Im using your forum as a chat room again!

All good buddy! :)
Side lighting is real effective if used correctly. When Ive used side lighting in my small spot the points that had it developed way more evenly. Stretch can be kept to a low a mount through lighting yet this is a little trickier. Id you training, pinching or leaf removal for limiting stretch. Although with fluxing you get way less than norm anyway. :)
This pic is of my Blue Venom that won my first POTM. The big ass Colas is where she had side lighting! :)

Honestly the bigger points/Colas were with extra light! :)
