Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

420J do you know much about PPM meters? Is that what Brix is related to? Just learning about this BRIX, now R Lester just got a tester, I may go over there and see if his light is on.:thanks:

I have one that I use often...but do I know much about them?...not really...I use mine to know how "strong" my nutrient solution is.

I know much less about Brix...I am pretty sure a refractometer (spelling may be wrong) is used to measure Brix but like I said I know almost nothing...it interests me a lot though.

Ok got caught up lol.
Firstly the Canuck, I bend wwhenever to be honest yet yes to avoid snapping after a good watering helps! :) They Key is to start everything early, get her set and its simple.
Latin feel better and flux on my friend :)
Trich post anything of mine buddy whenever you want lol :) (Green apple wise :) ) Oh and the key to getting everything so squared away is getting it all on the level to the pot rim and close to soil level. This give you the perfectly level girl :)
Brix ????? Im curious myself! Although a PPM is just for the strength of your nute mix! :)
Jay all is good my friend I hope today finds you good and medicated :)
Best of buds :)

Everyone bring me your fluxes :)

Good morning all, I trust this day is treating you all well...may the flux be with you!

Between all the fluxing journals, there are more questions and more finer details all the time...yay! :)

Look, I keep reading about PH levels, meters, PPM all the finer details for growing, and oh well here goes...I've never done any of that before, growing outdoor has really been easy for me, and I've never had the need...tank water, chicken poo, compost, rain, worm tea and stuff grows :yummy:

..and as best as I can tell these finer details, or at least testing and correcting to correct PH, PPM etc, seem to be much more important or rather damn critical for indoor/hydro, is that correct?
I can't say I've read it in those terms, maybe implied, but not directly like that.

I feel stupid for that sort of question LA and sorry it's not directly fluxy, but I need rules that I can apply....

Lol yeah for outside these things aint a worry. For indoors PH matters, not so much in soil as its a natural buffer. The other soilless mixes like coco etc it is critical for nutrient uptake and healthy plants. PPM is just parts per million, EC is electro conductivity, both amount to how much you have in your water. If full hydro then PPM is a must also. :)
This is just off my head and Im no font of knowledge lol so if Im wrong etc please someone shout out.

Never worry asking stuff on my threads! :)

Thanks LA :)

It seems logical if indoor you are in control or rather have to control all factors.

It just seems so unnatural to me...water PH are u kidding :) (I know you're not kidding...)

Dumb country bumkin...water comes from d sky, or from d crick ... n we drink it n stuff...(banjo's fading into background)

Brix is a measurement of sugars and nutrients a plant produces to feed the soil biota. The higher the brix number the more healthy the plant is and resistant to pests and diseases.
Best person to ask would be DocBud tho :)
