Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

Miagi, Batman, PoY-boy aka LA my coomba , Mc has a very good point about freeing the limbs in order to get them strong enough to support big buds in high winds. I would think that the limbs will never be as strong, if they remained immobile/sessile. Can we still call it a fluxing after I snip every wire? I'm still pondering the situation that has come to light.:thanks:

I agree 100% with McLoadie...in nature, branches are strengthened by stress from wind (mainly), snow and ice

Hike up a mountain and watch how the structure of the trees and plants change from the increased stresses of wind and snow

I have no idea from actual experience of outdoor fluxing of Cannabis but I know the same rules of nature apply

The only differences may be: sheltered location, no snow, etc.

My opinion would be to continue as you are...

....with fluxing, the branches are short and stout, decreasing the leverage and chance of failure due to environmental stresses

...just felt like I was filling out a job estimate LOL :)

For those who dont know i used to be "dirtysteve" on here. Cancelled my sub due to many failed grows and kinda lurked in the shadows for a minute til i picked up ahigh brix kit and grew my white widow. The only snapping that happend in my tent today was me taking a small bud off my girl for a taste test :). Its up and drying right now. A lil treat for this coming weekend :)

And that's what I like most about DIY.... Taking or having something to test from and not having to depend on others t get my wife's meds.

So first question of the morning....

How long can a harvest last? In the cupboard, frig or freezer?

OBTW....Good Morning...lol.

Hey all :) best of buds to all! Trich buddy with reference to fluxing restraints outside! :) leave em on :) Jay hit it correct, the stout form of the branches will hold her set I would think. Mc is right I am sure about perhaps needing a cage later on :) Yet with fluxing the limbs are almost tensioned as it were, so can carry more bulk than most. Also the structure of your girls is awesome so Id be shocked at to much damage, unless you had a storm etc.
If you undid her now you would get a very confused plant indeed! :) So yeah just my humble opinion, go as you have been and trust in your Fluxing :)

Just for reference, the stipules are the hooks or the little pointy appendages at the base of the leaves near where the petiole is joined to the plant.............so no one is confused.

Thanks for this Mcloadie, what are the "purple spikes" in the pics that I shared with you from my Fluxy journal?

Not stipules? Thanks alot Here;s today's pic, LA let me know if you want the pic out, I feel like a trespasser!

LA, when PINCHING for closer node growth, I pinch as close to the top "shoot", that has not yet "opened" correct? OR do you pinch the "shoot" itself (the shoot that has not yet opened at the very top) Thank you, I think I saw a picture somewhere, but my busy&lazy factor is high at the moment.:thanks:

I got this if that's O.K. :Namaste: Bract or Calyx covered in trichomes are the "petals " of the flower, these hold the pistils or the little white hairs. :geek: Also, that looks like a bud leaf turning purple. I like purple so it looks good to me.
