Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

Here he is again with the defoliation hate. Yo b real. Defoil works for some and apparently not others(you). Stop spreading misnomers about the subject. It works differently in different growing situations/environment and strains for everyone. You simply cant put "it hurts yield". Thats a blanket statement and doesn't apply to everyones situation. I have only one strain out of 9 that didn't like it and it had an adverse effect on my yield compared to the clones i didn't defoliate (master kush). Folks if it works for YOU and your grow, don't let a post on the net stop you from trying and finding out what works best for YOU and YOUR grow. My apologies L.A. Its just I've seen this guy in another led thread pushing the same misinformation around .

Stay frosty,
CaneyeBus

I had my account suspended last year for arguing with them (b FAKE and Smoke2j) about this even after showing 4 pants in the same system
plant#1 got no trim
plant 2 got light trim
plant 3 got a 3/4 defol, and
plant 4 looked like Addict's
I ended up with a 2oz dry weight difference between plant one and plant 4
Ether I have been very lucky and just worked with the right plants or I happen to have been training and defoling long enough to understand what I am doing to my ladies.
If it works in your farm then you understand what you are doing
If it don't work YOU do not understand the process .
:peace:

Ok let me wade in here! :)
Firstly defol works! I know its one of the most debated of topics! Yet simply put, if it didn't work how come I keep getting big yields with my girls? :) Also look at Bassmans work!!!! YES it is dependent on strain and style as well as the environment and light type and angle etc etc.
Making sweeping statements against or indeed for defol is daft as it truly is depending on what and how and when.

So yeah if it suits the plant and style and you understand when to use it effectively and to what level, then its a useful tool in your arsenal.

On the fluxing questions etc.
I top my ends of the flux early enough so that they are able to be manipulated to my will. The things that set my girl apart from others that say they did fluxing before me are control. I took far more care and attention, leading to a total evenly splayed canopy. This in turn lends itself to the feeding loop that is then available for your control.
CaneyeBus, take clones if you need em, your doing a grand job apart from the confused ends! Clear them up and your golden, then get one point each end an inch higher than the rest!
Anyway Fluxing is easy as hell, so enjoy :)

I am a little confused, can you flux a clone ? :hmmmm:

Hey MsBadger yep you could flux a clone, as potentially you can do it off any node and strip below that point. I just go at my point at third node as it is the first point that the node is developed enough to carry the flux in my humble opinion :)
I have the perfect clone if it makes it. Thanks ! :thankyou:

OK LA. You said you'd walk me through a Flux grow. Is she almost ready.

"Humble opinion" my azz...lol. LA, if it were any other way I'd be looking elsewhere. You da man and everyone knows it. Please continue to instill your wisdom, most of us are listening.

In my "Humble Opinion" that is...lol.

Renegade....

One thing I have noticed is fluxing clones can be a little weird at the start because of alternate branching (if taken from a mature plant) but also because of the alternate branching there is a stronger branch union...after a few weeks you can't tell the difference between clone or seed.

Hey all, Jay cheers for stepping in for Ms Badger bit, :).
BAR :) she is ready to top now :). My simple technique is to get the leaves of the node Im topping at to be pointing left and right. As the plant sits in front of me. Then I support the stem just below said node between finger and thumb, then simply grab the top of the hearts leaf and pull down and away or down and towards. The heart should pop off nicely. Then let to recoup for a bit and grow her flux arms out for training.
The re pot is crucial in my eyes also. Getting the right level to train against the pot is a big player in control. :)
Renegade gou flatter me my friend. :) Ill always continue to share openly as Im 420 for life, Im afraid, so that shoud be a good while yet I hope! :)

So basically I need to top the new growth leafs surrounding the heart, yes?

That's what I was explaining in my journal the other day. I had topped one of my babies the exact same way. I consider it a top and not a fim if you're removing more than the heart. I'll do that now & post it on my journal if you don't mind cross-journal coaching.

Didn't do John Lennon any good. Yoko is a US citizen and he had to spend gallizon in money just to get temp visa.

That's a slightly immaterial comparison though as John Lennon had already run into immigration problems (whether just or not) prior to spending all that money to make the law work as intended, lol. Hard to remember that far back and don't feel like "googling" it to see for sure, but seems to me he'd actually got deported at one time due to getting nabbed at the Tokyo airport with a small bag of weed.

Just drove by to say high and sorry that I never made it over for a while I feel really shit about OZY
I really hope that gets back soon  if you her from him please past my best on from the both of us :Love:the guy was like your bro on here
Have as great a Skunkday as you possibly can Guru Ji :circle-of-love:

Yeah just grab all the new growth above the node point and pull towards or away and down. Always keep the leaves at the node your working on pointing east and west as it were/side on. This gives you a clean pop of the very tip of stem. :) you take the heart and leaf. Its just a really small topping. :)
Ok, whats next LA? How long b4 we do something else to her?

Don't mean to jump on the bandwagon, but I am as my two ladies are at the stage to be fluxed with so I'm all in to try. If you and BAR don't mind.:thanks:
