Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

Many thanks Shrub :) ill be over in a min! :)
Also in other news my girls are going to a new home as of this evening, touch wood! Ill be totally without worry! :) also anyone who can just drop some best vibes on OZ's thread. :)

Wow Wee !!! Thanks TassieDevil for the breathing lesson and the pretty pictures to calm our nerves !!! :passitleft:

Good day one and all, may the Goddess of green have been to your garden and left it simply a dream. May the potency of your crop cause you to stop, as its simply bloody insane! :) :)
(I know I used to do my greetings like this each day, then I took a back seat as OZ took over in fine style! So ill pick up the mantle once more in his name!)
Just aint gonna be the same around here! Yet we party on and keep em green for them that can't!!!

Good morning LA!

I had a dream about your buds last night! They were tasty! :hugs:

Don't laugh, I also had a dream that FedEx handed me my ZNET 16 in a box that was dented and ripped, with broken glass!:yikes:
I had to tell FedEx to take it back, and I was SOOOOO sad!:yikes:

:green_heart::ciao::green_heart:

You guys need to explain this "council" organization.....sounds like some bad guys in Star Trek.

That just made me spray my drink! :lot-o-toke::rofl::rofl:Completely Caned and concentrating on LA's 'visit' nightmare and then your comment led to scenes from Terry Gilliam's 'Brazil' flashing through my mind and the Department of Works...

Then I realised!! :thedoubletake:

3, 2, 1 back in the room...

... can't believe I didn't see this Star Trek reference. Don't forget, the dude with the Red shirt always dies. What color shirt did the Council dude have on?

Hey all best of buds!
OK some pics of my tiny pot experiment. Firstly Im really chuffed with this plant, stunning girl all round. Any way she has bud sites all over her limbs and these have some leaf so I went totally extreme. Stripped her way extreme to see what happens! :)

poor girl. you know defoliation reduces yield, right?

Here he is again with the defoliation hate. Yo b real. Defoil works for some and apparently not others(you). Stop spreading misnomers about the subject. It works differently in different growing situations/environment and strains for everyone. You simply cant put "it hurts yield". Thats a blanket statement and doesn't apply to everyones situation. I have only one strain out of 9 that didn't like it and it had an adverse effect on my yield compared to the clones i didn't defoliate (master kush). Folks if it works for YOU and your grow, don't let a post on the net stop you from trying and finding out what works best for YOU and YOUR grow. My apologies L.A. Its just I've seen this guy in another led thread pushing the same misinformation around .

Stay frosty,

Light, I'm afraid this flux technique works tooo well in my medium(%100 perlite with a soil cap) I'm in a 5 gal bucket and my flux ends are at least 6inches taller than my main body (the centipede part) 2months of flux training and I'm already at the edges of the pot! Question, would you clip the ends and take clones from it and start a new end flux from one of the lower branches?(the end themselves have at least 5 suitable clone not counting the tip itself) as i have two fluxd girls and they themselves could be ready to flower any day now! Only problem is, i was merely experimenting with your style and had no hopes of it actually being any where near in resemblance to your girls. Well dammit it :thedoubletake: now i have two supercharged overgrown fluxd girls with no space to flower them! hope you dont mind me posting them here
L.A. Pics to follow.

LA, how far into flower was the plant that you defoliated?

Caneybus, what strains did you use for your two fluxes?

I think the greatest skill LA showed in his grow was his ability to control the rate of growth of all the different shoots so that the branching shoots hit the edge of the bucket around the same time as his two main growths. a lot of artful use of directional light, pinching, pruning, bending, guiding. definitely a plant whisperer

onavelzy..... Pineapple Express and Purple Wreck, what you said about La's ability to manipulate the growth rate is true, actually, I already started fluxing these girls before he put the thread flux tutorial together. Where my flux differs, i pulled the two split ends towards the edge and then started training the middle branches out( mistake), La simply used each branch from the main body to go out and when he got to the ends, he used the tips closet to be his main fluxes. I would've done it that way as well had I saw the tutorial first. Now i have overgrown flux ends!!! lol i'll just trim them back and use them as clones, while using the highest lower-most branches to be my new End FLuxs....Reading all this before i hit "reply" makes perfect sense in My head. Reading it looks like total hogwash.

Ok let me wade in here! :)
Firstly defol works! I know its one of the most debated of topics! Yet simply put, if it didn't work how come I keep getting big yields with my girls? :) Also look at Bassmans work!!!! YES it is dependent on strain and style as well as the environment and light type and angle etc etc.
Making sweeping statements against or indeed for defol is daft as it truly is depending on what and how and when.

So yeah if it suits the plant and style and you understand when to use it effectively and to what level, then its a useful tool in your arsenal.

On the fluxing questions etc.
I top my ends of the flux early enough so that they are able to be manipulated to my will. The things that set my girl apart from others that say they did fluxing before me are control. I took far more care and attention, leading to a total evenly splayed canopy. This in turn lends itself to the feeding loop that is then available for your control.
CaneyeBus, take clones if you need em, your doing a grand job apart from the confused ends! Clear them up and your golden, then get one point each end an inch higher than the rest!
Anyway Fluxing is easy as hell, so enjoy :)
