Hey LA what do u mean?
Do u mean to acess 420 n have trail to yourself?
I think there's certain search engines that can u can use that store nil info on yourself.
But I think 420 as a whole is secure. I may be wrong but I think it's server or whatever is in canada? That's were ur ip adress gets logged. Sucure I was told that n it's like not traceable by uk forces.
If that's not what u mean let us no :)

Hi buddy, if you're no further forward by tomorrow I'l get the boy on it.....he's a bit of a "techy geek" with stuff like that lol :)
Hoe all is great green and plentiful today mate :)

Morning all :) LA needs some help :)

TODAY WERE GIVING A BIG, HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ANY TECH HEADS! I NEED ASSISTANCE! !!
OK simply put I need some aid on setting up a secure network. Something that cannot be traiced back to me.

Please give me a PM to discuss this topic further. Many thanks indeed.

i can't PM due to post count but these are topics that affect everybody here so i'll mention what i have found.

i've been looking into ways to maximize my anonymity as i consider joining the cultivation aspect. i have concerns about buying stuff, like seeds, online, so i spent most of this weekend looking into ways of minimizing exposure. one thing i started reading on was bitcoin, which allows completely transparent transactions, no traceability at all. in the process, i found a bitcoin primer, written for stupid heads like me that just don't easily understand stuff like that". the writer mentioned other things besides using bitcoin for online transactions that you can do to protect yourself on-line. such as:

consider using a virtual private network (here's the link he provided).

to mask your trail while using the web, consider going online using Tor, an open source program that helps defend your web activity from traffic analysis. here's the link to Tor.

CAVEAT: i'm as un-tech head as they come. I know no more than what I have read, so be sure to get others' input to confirm, contradict or add to what i have suggested. I do use Tor, though i am not as diligent about using it as i should be. even if i don't use Tor, I always use the Private Browsing feature of my browser to minimize the trail. I have never set up my own VPN but I have used the ones set up by my workplace. they allow me to access my company's entire computer system from home, so they have to be safe. i have just started the process of using Bitcoin, never actually purchased or used any yet, but i really can see no negatives to it, beyond some inconvenience in use.

using a VPN and Tor will do a lot to help you but nothing is infallible. look up Silk Road

Bit Coins were in the news recently......."virtual money" in effect. NOT something I would trust or advise mate. Sorry, I don't mean to pee on your fire here but just giving my opinion buddy.

np LA, hope some of it can help. if you're gonna publish video, be careful about personal identifiers, like tattoos and jewelry. some of the vids i've seen, the tattoos shown are so distinctive the person might as well have done a full frontal and posted his home address. if you're really paranoid, like me, consider voice modulation software for the audio (probably overkill but...). or have someone else narrate the audio portion

LA, I can give you a quick fix to do that but you'll have to wait until after the show. Kind of busy right now.

OZ, i agree completely. it's something new, in terms of being an actual currency. so its ability to be there five or ten or 100 years from now is uncertain. but in the short term, short of walking up to a store and handing them cash with a mask over your face, it's the only way that i have found that allows you to do a transaction totally anonymously. and quite a few of the sponsoring seed banks offer it as a payment option, some even suggest it is the probably the most secure method of payment and provide every link needed for the client to utilize it.

would i use it as an investment or as a storage place for large quantities of my savings? no. but is it a reasonable method to make a one time purchase on line? absolutely. you go online, find someone local willing to sell you a specific amount of bitcoin, say 100 pounds worth. you meet them at the pub or coffee shop, pay them your cash and they give you the appropriate amount of bitcoin . you then make your purchase through the seedbank just like you would check out with a credit card. the value changes hands with no traceable link to you.

as a short term transaction, the risk is minimal, certainly less so than sending cash or even using a credit card, given how many sites are being hacked lately.

i was very dubious initially but am coming around on its risk benefit ratio.

sorry about the semi-hijack LA
