Morning all
LA needs some help
TODAY WERE GIVING A BIG, HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ANY TECH HEADS! I NEED ASSISTANCE! !!
OK simply put I need some aid on setting up a secure network. Something that cannot be traiced back to me.
Please give me a PM to discuss this topic further. Many thanks indeed.
i can't PM due to post count but these are topics that affect everybody here so i'll mention what i have found.
i've been looking into ways to maximize my anonymity as i consider joining the cultivation aspect. i have concerns about buying stuff, like seeds, online, so i spent most of this weekend looking into ways of minimizing exposure. one thing i started reading on was bitcoin, which allows completely transparent transactions, no traceability at all. in the process, i found a
bitcoin primer, written for stupid heads like me that just don't easily understand stuff like that". the writer mentioned other things besides using bitcoin for online transactions that you can do to protect yourself on-line. such as:
consider using a virtual private network (
here's the link he provided).
to mask your trail while using the web, consider going online using Tor, an open source program that helps defend your web activity from traffic analysis.
here's the link to Tor.
CAVEAT: i'm as un-tech head as they come. I know no more than what I have read, so be sure to get others' input to confirm, contradict or add to what i have suggested. I do use Tor, though i am not as diligent about using it as i should be. even if i don't use Tor, I always use the Private Browsing feature of my browser to minimize the trail. I have never set up my own VPN but I have used the ones set up by my workplace. they allow me to access my company's entire computer system from home, so they have to be safe. i have just started the process of using Bitcoin, never actually purchased or used any yet, but i really can see no negatives to it, beyond some inconvenience in use.
using a VPN and Tor will do a lot to help you but nothing is infallible. l
