Light Addict Tries To Get Grafting - Target Of One Mom With 15 Strains!

Love it lol and yup I top once to get two points to send left and right and then once you've reached the size of flux you want you top just the two main ends once more to even the limb structure out. Then each limb is just one bud :)

Just one bud each, lol? Like popsicle plants grown in 2-liter bottles, only with four branches? Cool.

I used to get a kick out of the folks who managed to "mangle" their topping cut and end up with four branches from that. And I knew this one guy who would create these 3D candelabra-looking plants every time he grew. Not for any practical reasons, mind you - he just liked the way they looked. (He was a crazy old coot, but he grew the finest sinse and never bothered to weigh out his lids when he sold them to you, just tossed 30+ grams into a baggie - so he was good people in my book. You just didn't want to knock on his door late at night - he heard a noise once and ended up unloading both barrels of his shotgun through the front door. <SHRUGS> I didn't have a problem with that kind of attitude, either.)

Hang on a second, let me switch my monitor to monochrome... Okay.

No, he ends up with many branches, and MANY buds

Ah, okay. I read where he stated he topped once to get two branches, then topped each of those branches - and each resulting limb was just one bud.

like more than you ever thought a plant could produce!

Not likely, lol. My favorite indoor individual plant grows were under screens that went edge-to-edge, and had a tip growing through every hole. Like one plant filling an eight to twelve square foot "room." Harvest was a blast, we'd saw through the plant's trunk, unhook the screen, and then two of us would wrestle it out and carry it to the dining room table. And I miss them terribly, lol.

Plus, I have seen outdoor plants that literally looked like (giant) mutant shrubbery. That was back before LEO started using helicopters as part of their income scheme I mean law enforcement strategy when you could still grow plants that you and a buddy could stand on each side of and not see any part of each other. I miss those days, too.

But I will accept that Light Addict grows awesome cannabis - on many branches. And I can but hope that my grow turns out half as well as his do....

Lmao :)

He he its all good and quite refreshing to talk with somebody who has no idea on my fluxing thing yet has clearly had an awesome grow journey of their own and probably way more experience than little old me! So just to give an idea of fluxing here's the original and my last one recently.

Well, you know what they say about experience, what doesn't kill you...

...has a tendency to scar you for life.

Those first couple of pictures are awesome - they remind me of the frog I pinned to the board in high school biology (do they still do that?). The rest of them are awesome... for other reasons ;) .

I'll have to try that one day when I have things more together and less on my plate. In the meantime, I have a sudden craving for frog legs, doggone it.

OK so my latest graft attempts came in as fails, this was down to me having them set higher than the light source. Also one was doing OK so thought I could remove the plastic bag and today she's a gonna!
I wasn't very happy with the strength of the graft anyhow so nothing lost I'll just go again with better contact area's and put her back in my usual veg spot for better enviromentals etc.
:)
The big momma flux is almost ready for topping, so not long till she's ready, so dropped a ton more beans for grafting candidates. I think I've about 15 strains to go for at present. Just wait for them to get to a decent size before we go nuts! :)

15 strains sheesh :volcano-smiley:

You feeling sorry for him too?! Lol.
Amazing as usual my friend.

Hey, a few of the cultivators from "Maggie's" came into the shop this morning.
Check it out.
They both strip ALL fan leaves from the plant twice during flowering.
I asked if they were aware this can badly screws up a plant (in my opinion).
The pics they had of the results are hard to argue with (though I won't be adapting this technique).
It was surprising to me to meet pros that defol'd like this.
Crazy huh?

LA, when you have time....on my grafted girl to male root stock, the male went through two rounds of producing the pollen sacs that I had to keep plucking. Would it be your advice to strip that male root stock of it's foliage to concentrate on the upper gal?
Thanks if you can help there. :)

Looking forward to your major project upcoming with this!
