Lewydeville’s Perpetual DWC With Fruit Spirit 2018

They've literally just got back. I'll let you know tomorrow how harrowing the first night was lol

It’s lovely getting them home. Before you know it it’s hard to remember what life was like without them. I’ve got four kids myself and the two youngest are 2 and 3. They’re a handful when they are that close in age!! Lol but the best thing in the world.

Thought I’d take a few shots of the Blue Mistic buds I took down last week. Smelling nice in the jars, I’ve taken a nice nug to try later.

Sneaked a few pics of the three remaining plants. I’ll be getting amongst them later to see where the trichomes are.

Jarred most of the Fruit Spirit #1 today. Just over 13 oz from these two so far. Less than I anticipated but with the Blue Mistic yield it still puts me on track for the 30oz target. I ran out of jars and need to get some roasting bags as I’ve been curing over spill in them and I have to say I prefer it to jars. So I’ve got about a half oz still hanging and ive got a good few ounces of light fluffy buds ready for pressing. Fingers crossed I should have some rosin pictures tomorrow. As for the remaining plants in the flower tent. I’ve given them all a res change with low strength nutes. I’m probably being a little optimistic reaching 30 oz with these remaining plants but 11 would be a new record for me so all to play for! Hope everyone is having a great start to their week.

The three remaining plants look to be swelling up nicely. I’m checking the trichomes everyday but feel it’s going to be a week+ as there are still a lot of clear and no amber yet. They messed up my delivery yesterday for the rosin press I’ve ordered but hopefully it should be here today. Some pictures at lights out.

Finally got my Dabpress and boy is it a nifty piece of kit! I tell know lie when the rosin you see in the pictures is less than 20 mins of it being delivered to my door. It’s so easy to set up and use. I used 7 grams of lower buds that are fluffy yet covered in trichomes. I did have a blow out but very little contamination which was easily removed with a pin. It tastes out of this world!

Here you can see the blow out and where the bag has soaked up some of my yield. For a first press though I’m happy as a pig in muck.

Second press gave up a little more lower grade rosin.

Checked the trichomes today and I’m well pleased to be able to harvest 3 plants in the next two days. Even more exciting is that whilst checking the Blue Mistic I found tons of purple trichomes which I’ve seen in pictures but never on my own plants. Can’t wait to order my press now in the hope of some purple rosin!!

absolutely beautiful lewy. The purple i had on my utopiashas given me a really dark , deep colour to hash from the trim so i only imagine how beautiful pressed rosin would come out.

Looking good GG. I’ve got some lovely material waiting to hit the bubble bags. Enjoying the rosin press as well.

So here I go with the last trimming session of this journal. First on the chopping block is the second pheno of Fruit Spirit which I’ve never tried before. Took way longer than my usual cut but hopefully worth it. Smells very earthy and nutty with big dense buds.

looks amazing lewy. good job mate

Thanks GG. I really appreciate your comments. How’s your garden now? Back up and running yet?
yes mate. finally got them resettled and starting to grow again. only been a week but they are recovering nicely now. want to get them done so i can hit the barneys beans in waiting.

Managed to get one trimmed and hanging. I’m just left with the 2 Tangies to go. Calling it a night as I’m beat and about to tuck into my Vaporizer which is full of scissor hash and rosin. Should see me off!

Wow nice haul lewy. That's a beautiful plant full of nugs :goodjob:

Thanks Iti, I think the buds from this one are going to be very nice as I like earthy Kushy flavours and it’s definitely got that scent about it.

@Lewydeville this was a great journal to read. I was having issues sleeping and before I knew it I was done reading the whole thing :p

I want to say that you have helped me confirm the direction I was going with my set up on my second run. I heavily consider doing RDWC after my first run at single bucket DWC but I want to do 2-3 strains per grow as I enjoy variety. I thought I was the only one changing out buckets every res change and just moving the lid with the plant to the other bucket lol glad to see I am not that crazy and I am surprised more tutorials and journals don't talk about it.

Do you have a two tent set up or do you have a third bud drying one? I am considering getting a small third tent for drying only.

Hey, whatever happen to the broken stem that was touching the fan? Did it heal? The same thing happened to me but it was the main stem a few weeks after I topped the plant. I thought she was done but she healed nicely! Gotta love nature!

Looking forward to reading your other journal. I really enjoy how you train and defoliate the plants! You are a master at this craft.
