Lemon OG Candy Philosopher Seeds From Cannapot

I now think i have the shorter one. She started out stocky with a lot of dense undergrowth.
Almost looked indica as far as leaves. Her leaves now look sativa.

Being delirious with a nasty cold I missed a watering on one of the Lemons. I found her limp in most of her leaves at 5:00am yesterday but with a solid main trunk all the way to the top. Very sad look. I watered her right away and checked again after 10 hours. The leaves were back to fullness but I noticed she went light green on most of her main large leaves starting mainly at the bottom.
I went to The Rev's book and saw a pic of a plant that was underwatered that looked very much like the situation at hand. I'll be looking for more info about this today and pondering any fix I might need if she doesn't start to green up. What did I do to the roots to cause them to say no to nitrogen? I don't know yet.
I'm pretty sure the soil is good for the time being because the 3 sisters seem to be fine and they haven't been in the 1 gal pots for long, 19 days today.
If anyone has had this happen to them let me know how you made out please?
Here they are.

time for an AACT to replenish the microlife. Imagine all the carcasses of dried out microbeasties that were laying around in that dry container. Without the tribe, nothing is being carried to the roots. A quick shot of FF Big Bloom will get a crew of them in there fast.
Thanks Emilya. I murdered them huh? Drat! On it.

At least a significant number of them. lol That is what the perlite/pumice is for... to provide hiding places where the water never quite runs out... but you managed to even dry them out. It happens. In veg, I actually try to make it happen right before an AACT. Out with the old, in with the new. It is not a crisis, but definitely something an observant gardener would tackle immediately.

Yup molasses will boost your microbes or increase . If not mistaken from when I did act outdoor last year first time . Was fun !

I went out and got some FF Big Bloom. Reading the ingredients I see in the bottle are many of the things in the Living Organic Soil book I'm reading for an AACT (actively aerated compost tea). It's a shortcut of sorts designed to bring on the microlife. Kind of like a first aid kit in a bottle in this application. Normally it's for putting more micro-beasts into the herd to keep things roaring along. I'll soon get into some of that.
I suppose if I had to slow one down, this is the one, seeing that she's about 8 inches taller than the rest.

My best looking seedlings were grown in happy frog with big bloom. I'm going to use it on some veggies I need to start soon. I need to buy the big bottle next time.

As I look closely I'm seeing the 3 others falling back in Nitrogen. All are now turning yellow from the bottom up and mostly the largest leaves. I gave them the fast aact in a bottle today (big bloom) and am hoping for a day or 2 so I can get some more soil and put them in 5 gallon pots.
Today is 22 days in the 1 gallon pots. I haven't let a plant stay this long in a pot this size so I have no experience for what I see happening. I'll have pics later.
I don't think I have an emergency going on. I do think they are telling me to act now.

Seems like an awful quick time for a plant to blow through all the N in the soil. I suppose it could be an out of the norm strain or something. Doesn't sound like a water only soil to me if you are getting any deficiencies this quickly. Trust your eyes and gut though....if you think they need to be uppotted, do it.

I don't think that it is that the soil has run out of nitrogen, but that the microlife has not yet been fully established in this container. I find that an early AACT, like in the 2nd week of veg, is highly beneficial in starting to get this process going.

We have to keep in mind that when you are no longer feeding your plants from a bottle, the available mobile nutrients are not just sitting there ready to be taken up into the roots. The TLO process requires the plants to send sugars down to the roots that are coded with the information as to which nutrients are desired. These sugars and operational orders are fed to the microlife that surround the roots and the microlife go out looking for these requested nutrients. The microlife then break the nutrients down into their basic forms and feed their eliminations to the roots so as to get more reward, more sugar exudates from the plants. This circle of life does not happen without active microlife... the soil is not magic.

In a TLO grow, it is imperative to raise the microlife population as high as you can get it early on, or nothing will happen. Your plants will begin to starve if the population is too low and you will be forced to feed from a bottle in order to save your plants. This is why I love FF Big Bloom so much and why I start using it mid veg and beyond. It not only has a good bit of free and mobile nutrient in it, but it has a very large population of active microlife in it too. It is not as effective as a proper AACT, but it is a good way to get things going with each watering if for some reason the microlife is not yet thriving in the soil. Try very hard to get an AACT in once a week so as to truly supercharge your grow. It is not imperative to do it that often, but my healthiest gardens have always been the ones that I work a little harder to maintain. It is funny how that works.
