Lembatoast's 2017 - Last Hurrah - Grow Journal

FULL UPDATE: Radogast, my plan was to let them get about another 6in taller, there right at 17in tall now
DSCN116710.JPG
then I was going to put the net on and weave the taller tops
DSCN11688.JPG
to the outside and the smaller ones to the inside and once the tops were through the net real good I had planed to trim every thing below the net away. I don't know if that's right or not but it seems like it should be. Alright, here we go The Hill

I'm going to try to get some sleep now. My stupid MOM won't give me a break, every time I go to sleep she gets up and tries to get out of the house. It's pissing me off. L8R TOAST

Looking phenomenal with the new indoor canopy. Great work on that I must say! and GL with the netting operation, perhaps you may benefit from a lower canopy trim later on too. The outdoor stuff is also looking amazing. Really consistent from year to year.

Good luck with the worms this year too :high-five:

Best wishes for you and mumsie. :ciao:

whats the dogs name:cheesygrinsmiley:
and an other one do you mist them bags??

I can answer the question on the bags veinz, and the answer is no. There's water in the container the plug sits in, but that's it. Every three days you open them to check for roots and then inflate them and seal them back up if none are present. I usually have roots within 2 weeks. So far I'm running 100% successful, thanks to TOAST's brilliantly simple method.

Hey man, I thought you'd enjoy it and maybe even know what this strain was.

You're preaching to the choir on that one. Oaxacan(sp?) sativa will probably always rank in the top five of my personal best list. That, a lucky Neville's Haze winner (big phenotype search on that one)... and something we only knew as "Swamp Bud" that was grown by an old Seminole Indian woman (RiP) in Florida and came around once/year. That one was the only time I ever... "lost my sh*t" in public due to cannabis. That was my introduction to swamp bud - we were heading to work and my brother said, "I only have a little with me, but it's real good, so just take one hit." <COUGH> <COUGH> <COUGHCOUGHCOUGHCOUGHCOUGHCOUGHCOUGHCOUGH> "You'll have to give me another one, I just wasted that one." Err... Whoops. Walked into the convenience store seconds later to get a bottle of pop, walked up to the counter, the girl rang up the sale... And I could not seem to figure out what portion of the change in my pocket to give her, lofl. Finally - there was a big line by this time, BtW - I just dumped the entire handful of change on the counter and said, "You'll have to figure it out, lady. I am SO STONED right now that I can't even think." I think it took her three tries to respond, she was laughing so hard. And then she said, "You didn't need to tell me that. Here, the rest of this is yours." And I must have left a trail of change out to the parking lot, because I had three or four dollars in change and when I got to work and proceeded to dump my pockets so I could work without junk in my pockets, I had three cents left. IDK how many lids we bought between us over a five year period, but neither one of us ever found a seed. Anyone live in Florida, maybe down in the swamps, lol?

Hash Hound, I mainly grow High Bred Sativa's and my strains, if the temperature stays at 78 degrees mine have roots like yours in 3 to 5 days. I was given 8 unknown seeds, they turned out to be Indica Dom High Breds, they don't like the bags at all. I lost the first set of clones by the time I opened them the first time. After just 3 days they were like steamed Asparagus, but they got way above 78 degrees. So for those I now only keep them in the bags for 2 days, then spray them real good with 1/2 strength Clonex and put them in a regular Cloner and there fully rooted in about 7 days. I use Dip and Grow its the best rooting hormone out there. I think between that and fill the bags with carbon dioxide every couple days is probable why mine root so fast. Its strange also, I will take 4 clones off the same plant and 1 will root in 3 days, 2 will root in 5 to 7 days and the one will take 21 days. But for the most part no longer then a week. Veinz my dogs name is Holy Terror but we just call her Terror. The reason she got that name is because when I brought her home as a puppy, she tore all my wall paper up as high as she could reach and ate the corners of the Drywall on most of my walls as high as she could reach. She also thinks she a Rottweiler and attacks any thing on four legs and usually kicks the ass. She so vicious that the other animals don't know what to do when she halls ass, goes air born, and grabs then by the throat. They tend to freak out and just run away. She literally bit the 1 in leather collar off the Scotty across the street, and it went running for its life. My dog flat rules her street and don't take no shit. It's crazy but that's the truth.

Well it was 108 degrees at my house today. It literally cooked 13 of my clones to death. Real Nice. Tomorrow it's sposta be 110 degrees. So I put my portable window air conditioner it the dining room window and I will bring the rest of the clones in there until this Heat Wave Breaks. What a crock. Any way I set the net on the Geo-Planter tonight. I went to Home Depot earlier and got 3 10ft lenths of 3/4in PVC pipe

I removed the potted plants and raised the lights

I measured the pipes going up
DSCN120211.JPG
and cut them at 15 ins but didn't allow for the Quad fittings and had to recut them to 14 ins
DSCN12069.JPG
put the risers and quad fittings on
DSCN121114.JPG
and discovered that this 4X4 planter isn't 4X4. On this side the cross pipes were 45 1/4 ins by 44 1/2 ins, beats me.

I just want to inform any one who gives a FLYING MONKEY'S ASS, that it is 9:00pm, you know at night time, when its dark, at my house and it is 104 degrees. Seriously, how are you suposta grow any thing.

After living in Arizona for 15 years - I think you're supposed to growin by planting in the fall. Walking out of a movie theater into a dark night, I was a shock the first time it was over 100 F. You get used to the idea. Good thing you worked up the UD strain to handle the heat.

Ouch TOAST! Sorry to hear it. That had to hurt. This is the best I can offer. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I finally broke down and put an air conditioner in my bedroom, where the flower tents were frying in the heat of the third floor. Made my plants' lives so much better. I hate having a unit in my bedroom, but the plants take priority.

The planter looks great with the netting attached. :high-five:

THE DEATH TOLL RISES: Two more potted plants fell prey to the damn I-Sissy weather on slot.

Those were looking exceptionally good today. I forgot to mention before, I have been watering the Eco-Planter with the RX Green one time and the Terpinator the next, all stuff I got from JOTY. Check it out, I came up with a new growing concept. It's called Shaolin Gardening. What you do is before you do anything with your plants, you Meditate for a little while, just to get your Chi going real good and your Feng Shuied, then you go work with your plants. You know how Bruce Lee had his 6in punch perfected? Well what I do is put my index finger in the joint of my thumb, ( like your doing and OK sign ) and when I see a yellow or dead leaf on my plants, I focus all my Chi into my Index Finger, then Flick It at the leaf, from about 3ins away and it falls to the ground. Give it a try. TOAST
