Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

There healthy strong plants mate they will bush back up its there job to do so.replace leaves u have taken to grow even bigger.ul see;)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

just be careful defoliating during the first 2 weeks of veg as it will stunt flower development. I wouldnt defol again until at least day 21-28 then id leave the defol at that. you can bend the branches but try not to crack them now either, you want the plant to focus on putting out flower sites, not healing up.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Man... that canopy was looking nice before you defoliated them. I'm going to do the pony tail/ leaf tucking method to see how it works with my current grow, but I may end up removing some leaves if there is absolutely no light hitting them. Will see. Mine are too little at the moment. :blalol:

Tks guys , we shall see if defoliating was a good idea , I won t do it for another 2 weeks now . I do admit I went a little overboard :) but I am POSITIVE all will be ok . I am following this guys advice , he seems to have it down :) and looking at the pictures they don t seem to be missing anything preflowers still growing on the ones that already have them . no sign on the photoperiods

His idea basicly is not to let any leafs grow older than 2 weeks and seems to be working pretty good for him :)
some pics from today :)

Who told ya not to let leafs get older than 2 weeks mate? The link u put up isnt working;)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

mate your just starting out so the best advice would be to let the plants grow without as much interference as possible. That way you have a baseline to work from. If you havent done a run with minimal interference you will never know if what you have done benefits or hinders your grow. its very easy to want to be doing something all of the time but sit back and slow it down mate.

Id advise against removing leaves every 2 weeks as you are constantly shocking the plants. Ive grown many thousands of plants mate and its easy to get carried away. Keep it as simple as you can in the beginning and then experiment with more advanced techniques.

your getting the first signs of nutrient burn on the plants so monitor that carefully, if it gets any worse back off on the nutes a touch.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

I agree with Cultivator.

I would say do a few grows without messing with the plants much because the more grows you do the better they will get. Then when you start to experiment, you will know what is making a difference.

The admins probably filtered the link out. I know there some sites they do not want linked on this site. Speak pig Latin. Lol

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Wise words from both men.my advice is solid to follow as proven over and over.im helping as u asked me to mate but to be following some1 elses methods aswell could lead u into trouble mate.when defol just remove heavy fans getting in the way.but be sure enough to leave the plant to thrive.ur plants will bounce back no problem.but u do need to think which way ur going mate for best results of growing a beautiful plant;) happy growing;)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Mate i cant comment if the light is good or bad, i havent used it myself. if you get a 1000grams its equal, if you get more its better, if you get less its worse. Of course you need to dial the grow in first. LED are different from HPS, I guess you have to make comparrisons because the choice is one or the other. There are pros and cons to both. All quality LEDs have better PAR output thats for sure.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Cultivator its good cause of the price mate .ur sponsored led,s are 2000 pound.goliath is half that and bad ass.worth thinking about.have a great day mate and happy growing;) leds are definatly the way forward for every grower;)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

The leds i use are 2400quid and its for sure alot of money but they cost 1600 to manufacture and then theres import taxes, VAT bills and shipping. They far too expensive for the 1030w panels for sure but Osram and Cree are expensive. Infact id tell most people to go for the 600w draw panels as the more powerful panels are lethal in the wrong hands and they are more affordable. I wasnt sponsored by Ninthplanet, i bought the panels at cost price for £6500 with small discount because i started the business and sold it too a friend. I also only done this because i had seen the panels perform in testing with my own eyes. I could have taken stock before i sold the business but it wasnt necessary. There are different panels for different budgets and different spaces. Ive tested some really good brand LEDS with great results and others that were shite and every company makes the same marketing that x light produces more or is equal to a higher powered HPS. And its not true, not for the most part. But the fact is if you have a light, any light, and it performs to what you expect then its a result regardless. There are some great panels out there and some utter shite, its just a case of being informed and using the right ones.

But no one can say how good or bad a panel is until theyve done a few grows with it because then it shows what it can or cant do. PAR is certainly important but there is more to it than that. Spectrum, diode placement and angle, quality of components, environment, growing techniques etc etc all contribute to how things perform. In the end good growers will get a result with any light source 400w and greater. For me although i like LED and infact think they are better than hps in many ways i wont be switching any time soon. Reason is you can only get so much weed per square meter and once you are getting that it doesnt make sense to spend over a £1000 per square meter on light source when you can do it for £100 or slightly less. The arguement that you use less electricty is flawed because you still need wattage to get numbers and quality and add heaters or AC to big spaces to get environment correct for hps or led.

Conclusion is if you are happy with the panel then its great. But grow something with it before you make judgement, and thats no disrespect to anyone its just common sense mate.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Hey guys, tks for your concerns , that s why I did it at the begining of the flowering period , some have not even began to flower , so I thought it was a good time to do it , now rather than later it was impossible to lolipop that , too much work . I feel your concerns , but I am very confdent all will be ok , maybe they will stun for a day or 2 at the max .
the link is from ------------ com so if you paste that beofre what the system didn t blurout you can read the article with pictures .
Beast remember I topped my autos because of you although all the internet says not to :) just keeping an open mind :)
I should have kept one with all the leafs just to have something to compare to , that I see now
Also, I wouldn t have seen the nutrient burn if I hadn t defoliated , I am sure it s because of the EXPLODE I added , will go without it for the next weeks :)
once again , tks for the tips , and no more defoliating till close to the end :)
Happy growing guys

hahah :)) can t tell you the link here aparently but, if you google (Experienced Growers Only) Controversial Defoliation Increases you wlll find what I am talking about

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Changed the RES today , left out the EXPLODE just went for some CAL MAG and the A+B from DutchPro .Next feeding I am going to buy bottled water, my tap water has to high of a ppm and going strong into flower I will for sure have some nutes problems .

Peace out !
