I hear you both! Even new soil can kick ass if it's been properly amended and baked. But in my experience, there's nothing like recycled soil that's been built over time. Coco with soil is the new thing but I think it's here to stay. The grow I did that was 50/50 was my best grow to date. Can't wait for your new ladies LA!
 
Well folks this is an odd occurrence for me!

I'm gonna get a little bit ranty :)

Today at work I listened to a report on our main national radio station, I listened a cpl of times. Well it was about what some deemed until today legal highs or fake cannabis. Today it all became illegal. Now this is great... Yet then the report interviewed some folk from Ireland where the same ban,and actions were taken. It went underground and became a much bigger issue!
So my point being, when they said at least 400 deaths can be attributed to these "legal highs" in the UK. What the fooook are they playing at??
In our prisons folks are getting hooked and reacting badly.... Killing over this crap!!!
So for the love of humanity, why not just legalize our beloved plant and stop people going down the absurd and clearly deadly path! How many deaths from MJ??? Its a natural god or creation given plant of mother nature! We've been tokin it for hundreds if not thousands of years.... Still nobody dies directly unless a big ass bale of weed falls on em!
So yep they're talking about A lost generation its so bad, so why not just open their eyes and ears to what the rest of the world is slowly SCREAMING !!!

Soz it just seems such a stupid simple cure to this huge national issue! (I must add never even seen any of the stuff lol) don't need it :)
 
I hear you LA! You're definitly right about that. People dying from fake weed is absolutely insane. There is not one single case in the history of man kind where someone died from a marijuana overdose. Case in point.

I have a friend who's had heart disease for 12 years. He's only 48 and he had quadruple bypass surgery and a pace maker installed in 2004.

Two years ago I dropped off some tincture with him and gave him the instructions. Only take 1 dropper full an hour. These dropper bottles had an oz of top shelf weed per 2 ounce bottle. So each bottle had approx 56 very potent doses per bottle. I told him to take 1 dropper full and wait an hour. If it's not enough take 1 more but no more than that.

Long story short! He blew off my instructions. He took 3 droppers full and waited 15 minutes. Then he took 6 more and waited another 15 minutes (18 doses). He said he could feel it then but it wasn't very intense so he took a shot glass full. 1.5 oz. (60 total doses). He then waited 20 minutes and said he was loaded and loved it so he took another 1.5 oz shot glas full (108 big boy doses). Apparently he layed down on the living room floor and stayed there moaning (according to his girl friend) for 3 days and 2 nights. I had no idea this happened until I called him a couple weeks later. he was grateful to be alive and no worse for ware. He had a new respect for edibles lol!

My point is, if anyone would have died from a marijuana overdose, it would have been him.

Legalize it!

Great story doc!!! It's past time to legalize this plant. They can't stop us. They never were able to stop us. We are growing in numbers and we are getting stronger. The end is near. How they choose to end it is what scares me most. My guess is they will enact even more laws to regulate it, making the situation far worse. Case in point... Washington state.
 
Well my friends, this thread is gonna be my main base from now, so the DeathStar will be built here as will a load of autos whilst she vegges out :)

I've already got about 8 autos going as babies! So stay tuned as were about to go off in here :)
 
Oh and as I feel like being a bugger I'm gonna show folks the difference between my own recycled soil of which its probably on its 20 something generation and the canna pro soil! Same nutrients and pots and strain! To me its a bit of fun but in all honesty we need to be asking more from these big brands! My current autos that I'll get pics of later and post look like they're my first ever plants lol, I kid not! They're teenie tiny and crap and they're banging genetics.
So yep no big tricks, nothing just straight recycled against one of the big boys in the market! :) should be fun! (Especially when I next meet and talk to my friends at Canna lol) :)
 
OK some pics!

Firstly I've yet to sort out and kill off most of my plants! Don't worry lol they be going for a good use! Most of the twenty girls are just donor stock for grafts for my other thread. Once they've been successfully used they will be binned off!
Then we have my autos! One set is the large 3 in my cupboard, its these that have been in just the canna pro soil. The rest of the plants in there are just more strains for future grafting, although I'll flux the plants up as I go and flower these out after the DeathStar!
So I'll be killing off the tent girls soon and filling the tents empty spaces up with autos whilst the DeathStar grows out. Oh and I'll soon pot her up, as well not even I'm daft enough to try a 1m globe out of a 5 gal pot :)
I've also got more autos dropped and waiting to rear up. I've double dropped the Think Big for the side by side soil off with my recycled and the canna crap!
So yep bare with me as we build the mini world of bud! ;)

I'll be dropping the last of my hso strains later tonight! God it sucks no ones around my neck of the woods from on here, I'd happily be gifting away like 8 ready to rock plants all hso lol. Its gonna be tough killing em all off but itsgot to bee done asap!
 
Looks like buds are on the horizon for LA! Speaking of HSO, just tried some quick dried Blueberry Headband and it was really good. It had an awesome flavor with plenty of gas lol.

Thanks for doing the side by side. This will be telling for sure.

Not much of a change in here, I'll be using newer tech from Budmaster, the white cob and the new God and also for the stupid challenge of the DeathStar, I'll use the new not out yet Budmaster high pressure sunshine! I'll be running the hso Amherst Sour D as the DeathStar and the rest in here will be DP autos :)

DeathStar update of sorts!

Ive changed my plans! Im not going to use anything to train to! Yep no wire frame, or rings of cane nothing but me, the plant and my trusted plastic coated garden wire! :) To me it makes it a more fluid process and one that's hopefully a show of skill rather than just scrogging in 3D as it were!
So I'm bloody bonkers and might need sectioning after this run! :)
