Landrace Genetics 101

Hey bud!
This is my first run with these, I had them in a couple different grow conditions this season but anything outdoors and in my greenhouse fell to mold, the two above have couple weeks or so left, but they are already getting darker on top, and if they do the LED should bring out the color to its fullest. I will keep you posted.

Yes Afghani has very little immunity for mould. It doesn't work outdoor for me either.

Why do you suppose that is? I know thats a pretty dry area (at least the areas I have been in), perhaps that is the reason. Just thinking out loud here.

Yeah due to being bred in dry and arid climate for generations. So when you transplant it into more humid zone, it's not gonna be able to fight off the fungi that come with it.

I live in extremely humid zone that only occasionally gets dry spells and you can't grow landrace indicas here in an average season.

I want to find a good Afghani strain to grow. Just to see how it compares to some of the stuff we were smoking over there during my 2 deployments. Found some pretty good bud over there. Oops did I say that out loud haha.

Plus the density of the buds and compact(?) plant structure, I'd imagine.

I'd hope so. My uncle and others discovered cannabis during the Vietnam war era. And came home with seeds, lol.

Theres actually a good thread or article (can't remember which) of the use of early afghans and botrytis and attempting to breed it out of the strain...

That's awesome!!! I did the same but had a "friend" who thought he needed them more then me. Along with the rest of my small collection. Good sign to start over I guess lmao!!!!

Yeah kind of what i figured. So much to consider for outdoor growers !

Are you talking about both indoors and outdoors? Or just outdoor grows of landrace indicas?

I believe so too, but it never hurts to ask right?

Great stuff tropics. I tried to reveg my Satellite but no go. Some of the best tasting herb I have had.

I am high on Acapulco Gold x Michoacan right now by way of Snow. I think it is my favorite high at this time. Have the Black Afghani and Uzbekistan. Not running indicas now but will do these soon as they sounded special, the Uzbekistan really has rave reviews.

Have many heirloom sativas going. Nanan Bouclou, Punto Rojo, Guerrero from Swami, Dalat Vietnamese from Snow, others.

What's the nanaan bouclou like? Indoors? Southern seeds?

If I was to get some columbian, would usc cg72 be the one to get? Has anybody here grown? pics?

Nice night. id like them both..Wanted to buy nanan for years, Cape trib... Id need to move to grow though, to cold and dry here... I'm sure it was a 25 week strain but says 13-17.. not sure what happened or if my memory playing up...
