Landrace Genetics 101

I can't justify that much money on seeds when there are other sources for much cheaper. All the crosses Snowhigh has looks incredible (also from your photo) still too much for me. RSC, Tropical seeds and MNS has a great range of landrace/heirloom genetics for much cheaper so for now I'll stick with them until I can afford the pricier stuff like Snowhigh :thumb:

I'm just going with my experience with his gear.

The ONLY disappoint was one of his testers. my "dud" was a polyploid. Freshies and plant smell was nasty smelling "Old Spice". After a 6 week cure. ohhhh my goodness.

I get you on the price. For me, If I get a winner it's golden.

I got 1 plant 10zip to 14 zip indoors consistent get you to the moon and smooth landing.

This weed I cannot kill.

This is consistently one of the most interesting & edifying threads on 420. :goodjob:

IMHO. YMMV.

What we grow is going to be amazing stuff.

Market weed.

Lets raise the bar

Work out what the little lady wants to give us.

Thats what I think about Landrace.
You are right about Sativa.

We should not exclude hybrids.

Landrace genetics, aren't they the feed stock?

The work is up to us, I'm thinking.

We all should get together and make something great.
Although my original breeding project was delayed for a bit, I ended up pollinating an auto with a male Red Point cross. Lol, how's that for hybrids??? Anyway, I'm making seeds.

I did plant 2 more Red Point Crosses that are either crossed with The One or Blue Orca (stoners can be bad labelers). Hoping for a boy and a girl so I can start playing around. Wife says she doesn't mind seedy buds as long as the seeds grow and she gets medicated.

I believe that breeding and maintaining lines is important, hence my desire to selectively inbreed my Red Point crosses until they all get me stoned like the few perfect phenos I have grown out.

I also think that experimenting is good. That is how I ended up here, just effing around. Right now I have crossed two very different strains that have likely never been in the same room anywhere in the world before..... That has to count for something in these dark times rife with high yielding, bland, commercial

There's an interesting Brazilian IBL from Barney's Farms called Utopia Haze. According to them ... "In order to obtain the wished phenotypes, a selection of plants was crossed with the same line without contact or alteration with different genetics." I've run it a few times and the buzz is devine. Brazilians are known as "spiritual" sativas. I highly recommend it. :thumb:

I think I remember you growing a few of those out...either way thank you for the suggestion I'll have to go check it out :)

I'm guessing that is a US seedbank?

I had reason to visit The Attitude's webpage the other day and, when I did, I noticed that this breeder was listed on their huge breeder list. They're not a forum sponsor, so please check with those first:

...but it seems like, more and more, US-based breeders' wares are appearing on the bigger European seedbanks' breeders lists.

Hello all :)

I'm looking for TRUE South American landraces and/or Greek kalamata/Athena landraces.

Where should I go in terms of seedbanks or maybe someone on here has access to these genetics?

Thanks in advance!

SnowHigh over at OES right now.. They just did a nice drop a few weeks ago.

Snow has the genetics you are looking for. He's got genetics from everywhere. South America, Africa, Hash regions from the Middle East, Thailand. Even has some old school Jamaican and Hawaiian lines. Hell even has some west coast gear from back in the day.

Take a look see at genetixgenius.com
and his Instagram page.

Really anyone interested in Landrace gear, Snowhigh is a one stop shopping trip to nirvana. Just sayin. :p Real deal.

That's fair enough mate haha, I wish i got them from USC way cheaper but I missed out. What I don't get about snowhigh seeds is why is everything so over-priced? I mean you can get other landrace genetics (not as much variety as snowhigh) for a 3rd of the price...what makes Snowhigh seeds so special that he/she feels the need to sell 5-10 packs for $150? Doesn't make sense to me

Probably because people will pay the high price, SnowHigh got his Colombian from Bodhi who got his from USC. USC was much cheaper but hasn't had the 72 CG in stock for a long time now.
